If you look in Gordon's locker in Half-Life, you can see that he owns a book by Marc Laidlaw, and if you look around Eli's lab in HL2, you can see he owns one of his books, too.
I dunno about the AI stuff... The most impressive stuff in the Half-Life series are the scripted events, like a Gargantua crushing someone with a car or the Advisor picking up a corpse and probing it.
They did their best, but AI just can't do that kind of stuff. Or at least it couldn't back in HL1's day. Who knows.
He's right I had an amazing experience With this game And Like Kelly Bailey Said "We want people to get sucked into the game" I did When I was like 8 And I now have ALOT of Games by valve...They're Awesome It seems like they actually care about their games...Mainly Team fortress 2...Because of all the updates...
obviously marc was a good one so you probably wont get his high position as the main writer,so valve might hire you as some backup writer or something
