i have the same truck 3in lift with 33in tires i wanna get a 6in but i cant find a company that makes one what lift do u have was it a kit or custom, very nice truck btw
Damn my tundra looks almost identical to yours I have different wheels no lift and it's an extended cab but other then that it looks like we have the same truck haha
I have a 2001 tundra, and wanna get it lifted, but not sure if i should get a suspension lift or a body lift, and what size rims and tires are those Please and thank you.
sick truck man, i have a black 2002 toyota tundra limited also with some XD's on it. what did you put in for yourtouch screen panel... is it just a avn eclipse? cause i want one haha nice job!!!
@motercyclemelik yeah..i have one just like it...black 05 double cab dark gray interior
im starting to fix it and was looking for ideas..this truck is a 10..wish i can lift it and put some 33s like this dude..but im just gonna level it and put some A/T tires with XD Rockstars..but yeah blacked out tinted tailights is illegal in cali, its a sure easy way to get a ticket, at lease in my city
nice truck dude, i have a 2004 trailblazer and i hoping soon that it dies because i want a new car! i was looking at both tundras the newer ones and this years! how much was everything to do?
Could you please tell me a little about how good the stability is on highway with a 6 inch lift? .. Also, does it affect your vehicle in any negative way?
I'm planning on getting a 2011 Toyota Tundra and then a suspension lift kit. I want to modify it to suit dune riding. Thinking of supercharging it as well. Any suggestions what's best for dune bashing?
First off, you dont supercharge a toyota. you turbocharge foreign cars...second, if youre planning on dune drifing, you want real power. buy a dodge or a ford. foreign trucks suck. get a dodge ram 1500 and supercharge it...4x4 with some M/T mudders. youll own the drifts.
@cunpablo dude what the hell are you on about? My buddy has a supercharged tacoma that make 325hp. Not to bad for a small v6. That thing will spin up to about 40mph on the street so i think it would do just fine in the dunes. Honestly turbo vs supercharged is just personal preference.
you guys know nothingabout trucks apparently. I have 33s right now qith only a spacer kit if you run say the camburg or total chaos coilover and upper arm kit, you can clear 35's. a buddy of mine has that setup n has only minor rubbing when turning with 35s. get wheel spacers if youre worried about that. although i wouldnt really recommend them. if u want a sicker lookin truck, ditch the bumper and get a prerunner bumper and fiberglass fenders with 35s. dont do 18s on a damn truck, thats stupid
How big are those rims I just bought that lift kit for my 05 DC and was thinking about putting 33in tires on an 18x9 in rim. Do you take that truck off roading how does that lift kit perform in the dirt an mud. I wanna put a 33x12.50 in tire. do you think that would clear the fender well.
Nice truck dude. I put a readylift kit on mine and it got lifted 2.5"-3". I tried to put 35" tires but absolute maximum it will take with the readylift is 33.0" tires. What tires you got on yours? And if I lift it 4" with RCD kit do you think I can fit 35"s?
Thank You. I have 35's on this truck, but its a 6 inch lift and they had to do some trimming. If you raise it to 4 inches it will forsure need some major trimming and still may have some rubbing.
How big are those rims I just bought that lift for my 05 DC and was thinking about putting 33in tires on an 18x9 in rim. Do you take that truck 4 wheeling how does that lift kit perform in the dirt and mud.
The 3 inch is great. What it will do is level your truck out which is great if you have a family or you do not want a So aggresive looking truck. Dont get me wrong, it still makes it look nice and "manly" but just not as eye poping as the 6 inch does. The 3 inch is good if you have a family or your going to use it for work or moving things. Plus, if your trying to get a conservative job as a broker or IT guy, you may be judged pulling up in a monster. Get what Im saying?
Just make sure you have tires that will fir. Im not to familar with the 06 z71 measurments, but you want to make sure that whatever tires you are going to have on it IF you put the 3 inch lift that it will fit your wheel well and not do any rubbing. Thats the only real concern.
thanx dude and yea i think im goin to stick with a 6in lift and 18 inch rims with 35 inch tires ha and im a mexican lol but yea im not like every other mexican lol i hate that beaner style on trucks it pisses me off haha but yea ill send you a pic once im done with it ha
LOL, yes plese dont lower your truck to where its bottoming out on a paved road or put 27 inch rims on 30 inch tires. LOL Forsure, send me a pic when you have it all done.
nice truck dude! i want to do the same to my truck i have an 03 and its just plan. and i want to lift it and put some xd rims too but i dont kno anything about trucks ha and lifts and idk what type of size rims or tires to get or how many inches i want to lift it ? ha i just want to have a badass truck ha so can you help me? and see what a good size?
Lets see, what kind of lift do you want? My truck is a 6 inch and that is the basic lift for trucks. Anything higher then that you might put to much strane on the tranmission and other things. Not always in some cases, but with my toyota I was told to stick with a 6. Plus, if you go to high it might look funny. tires. if you want
So your choices are going to pretty much start out as a 3 inch, which pretty much levels your truck out and enables you to put 33 inch tires on. or a 6 inch which enables you to put 35 inch tires on. You can go bigger then 35 inches, but you have a good chance of your tire rubbing. Rim size is up to you. I have 18's which I would like them to be a little smaller but they dont look half bad. A lot of people go from 16-18 inch rims. 16 inch rims normally look preety good on 33 inch tires.
18 inch goes good on 35 inch. If you want to go super mexican status go like 22 inch rims on 33inch tires. But I think it looks fucking dumb to do that. :lus, its a truck. You cant go off roading, and if you do you risk cracking your rims. And if you dont go off roading you still risk cracking your rims hitting anything. SO for you. Id probably stick with a 6inch on 35 inch tires. If you like my rims they start out at 18 inches. But I think 16 or 17 inch rims look a little better.
I persdonally think it looks more agrrsive and asthetlcally pleasing to see more tire then rim. Well, hope this helped. Ask any questions and let me know what choices you made. Thanks!
Hey why did ur lift kit cost so much my friend told me they cost like 300-400 bucks and also I was thinkin bout doing a 6 inch lift in the front only how do yu think that would look
oh and btw how much did yu pay for yur grill and where'd yu get it from?
I dont know any lift that costs $300$-400. Maybe if you just put blocks in the front and back and do it yourself. If you lift yours and you can find an RCD lift for that much then go for it. There are not a lot of options for the 06 toyota tundra 6 inch lift, so there prices may be higher then others. The 6 inches in front to me might make it look kind of funny in my opinion. A lot of people do the 'runner" look if they go through mud. But they will usually lift the back end a few inches too.
Really Nice ride. I am in the process on getting a lift put on my Tundra as well. I got a 2006 Tundra dbl cab Sport Series. This look is what im going for. What Size rims do u got on those 35's? thanks for any info
Nice truck Dude. I have one just like it. 2006 DblCab 4WD Tundra. How much did you pay for the RCD lift? What about installation? I tricked out my Tundra too, only I just put the ReadyLift Leveling Kit, and 33" BFG AT tires. Did you lose any power after adding your big tires, because I lost a little off the line.
How's the ride quality? I like the stock smooth ride, so I would like to know how smooth or rough it is.
I paid about 3 grand for the lift kit, and with installation it got bumbed up close to 4 all together. Not including the rims, tires, step bars and grill. Did you put a 6 inch lift on it? I have 35's on and I did loose power. I got it re-geared which helped a lot. I didnt want any extra stress on the transmission and engine. The ride quality is awesome!
Ive been in trucks without being lifted and it doesn't ride as good as mine. It feels close to stock. I was scared too, but when I researched and asked around thats what I was told I was going to get from the RCD lift. If you live in the southbay area the guys who did my lift was STREETSHHOCK in redondo beach. They did a great job.

Very nice. Looks great.
I see some people asking bout tire size.
What Ive found is with the readylift leveling kit I could squeez LT285/75/16 BFG
on my 05 double cab tundra.
BUT, could only be done with rims that give proper back spacing.
Back spacing pushes the wheel and tire out from the fender well to allow the tire to clear upper control arm.
After a little research I find 3 inch lift/level with a strut extension kit is about all one can get on tundra.
