Slughorn isn't stupid. Dumbledore had to ask Slughorn for the memory first to get the fake one from him. So when Harry asks if that's what he told Tom Riddle, of course Slughorn would know what Harry was referring to and who put him up to it.
Wow, they're taking away stuff and adding so much unnecessary bullcrap in this story, this is terrible. That was terrible acting by the guy who plays Slughorn, btw. That was such a mis-cast IMO.
This is actually in the book so idk wut u r talking about cause I just re-read it. You cant expect every piece of the book to be in the movie, and in order to make it flow better
Excuse me but Jim Broadbent is a brilliant actor. Go see him in Iris, Moulin Rouge or Gangs of New York and you'll see how good he is. Its one thing to say he was miscast and quite another to say he is a bad actor.
Wait, he was in Gangs of New York? I've seen that movie twice, I can't believe I could have missed him, but I'll take your word for it. I actually barely noticed him in Indy Jones 4, he was also in that. I'm just angry of who they cast, he doesn't seen the Horace Slughorn type at all.
And also in this clip, it seems like he gets riled up from nothing, yes, Harry did mention Tom Riddle but he still didn't say the word Horcrux. If I'm right, I think that is what Harry said originally to get him riled up. Correct me if I'm wrong.
yeah in the book Harry says almost the same thing Riddle did asking what Slughorn knows about horcruxes. that's when he gets all riled up because it reminds him of when Riddle said it and he sees that Dumbledore is trying to get Harry to get the memory.
They can't make the movie word for word! An actor can only work with the dialogue and the director they are given. It is the director who decides the direction of the scene not the actor.
