The guy behind Chinchilla Soft House apparently is going to resume development of this game since he's finished Clannad RPG. I assume it will also have brand new original graphics instead of rips :)
I think I still have a copy of this game on my PC somewhere, probably from a long time ago. I see the copyright date is 1997 on the video, and you said they quit working on it back in 1999? I'm guessing it was never finished due to legal problems?
the part with the 3d where the player kills it is also in sprite's earlier game, gardis light for x68000

Given the era this game was made it looks pretty outstanding. The production values look top notch for a indie/fan game made in 99.

Wow, did they every make the full version? I can't find it online anywhere, only .04(vampire4.zip is the only file name I can find).
Ironic they stole graphics from other games and cloned Castlevania, cause I would shell out cash to play the complete version...

I never knew there was stolen content in this. I remember they were planning to have people pay for the full version. Illegal activity there :P

I remember playing this years ago... very cool little game. It's just disappointing that so many of the graphics are stolen. :P

I examined it. I see...The possibility may be high.
Because my comment of the other day may cause misunderstanding, I delete it and will correct it.
I'm sorry. Thank you for pointing it out. m( _ _ )m

I know one of the larger monsters is from Capcom's Dungeons and Dragons arcade game, for instance.
It is a fan game, though. Happens all the time... at least this one's put together well and is fun. :)

It looks like it was made with RPG Maker XP...or did you just use their tilesets and Sound effects?
irregularzero 3 years ago
No, RPG Maker XP is not used.
This game is made in 1999.

I didn't know the items actually DID something. How do perform a higher jump? Do you just need to have all the items?
ViperSnakeX 3 years ago
(First of all I apologize beforehand. I am not good at English.
I'm sorry if I do an irrelevant answer with the answer that you demand.)
In this version of the middle of the development,
the player possesses all items implemented in this version from the beginning of the game.
So nothing changes even if the player picks up items newly in a journey.

In videos, a higher jump seems to have come to be possible since I acquired the item,
but, in fact, it was possible from the beginning of the game.
The higher jump is performed by inputting a key in order of Down / Up / X(jump) quickly.
