This is totally random but when you recorded "Carmen Variations", was that in the beggining of your career? Sorry for the randomness just wondering. Absolutely enjoy your playing!
The only thing that might exceed your technical brilliance is the love and enthusiasm you have for the music you play. It is fun to watch you work with the orchestra. I hope these "Rachy" sessions will be released on DVD. Any word on that or and updated release date? TY Valentina.

You are so lucky - playing all rachmaninov piano concertos with a great orchestra, that's one of my dreams in life and few are talented enough to have the priviledge. Looking forward to buy the CD !
Though it was a fragment, that was very awesome! I was just looking at Rachy's piano concerto 1 mvmt 3 with my teacher the other day, and we were both talking about how the piece is, basically, freakin' godly difficult. But Lisitsa here makes it look so effortless! Bravo!! :D
Valentina spero tu non sia gia' sposata perche' sto venendo a prenderti. Complimenti dall Italia. Sei meravigliosa. Le tue mani sulla tastiera sono un emozione. Un bacio..
Oh God how I wish to see a those recording sessions...I promise that I'll be as quiet as it should be...you're very very blessed pleople...what else can I say...
Valentina, it's very hard to find good living musicians who can combine technical mastery with spot-on interpretations, and I usually find myself returning to the legends like Janis, Szpilman, Horowitz, Richter, Gilels, and Rachmaninoff.
I found your YouTube page and have been sampling your videos for the last hour - and I believe you might just possibly become a legend yourself. You have a new fan :)
Thanks a billions for your marvelous, incredible, fantastic, extraordinary, beautiful, amazing, wonderful, fascinating .... DVDs. I have all of them and I'm waiting impatiently for the last one ;-)
YEEEESSS!!!! My favourite piano concerto!!! thank you thank you thank you thank you SO MUCH!!!! now i know why you were playing rach 1 "minus orchestra" (video)!
By the way a personnal request to miss V. : Any chance to see/listen to you playing Chopin (Berceuse Op.57). I'd love to hear your sensibility of this masterpiece. That would be a trumendous gift to me(and for sure for the rest of us) and certainly just a little work for you. I Know you're very busy but you never know asking ;).
I hope this comments helps you amazing musicians because im a musician retired like 3 years ago of drums and 5 years ago of piano. And I understand how hard is to find point of views of people or thoughts.
I wish someday I could make, music videos with genuine special effects with green screen, a lot of material and ideas I could develop for this music, because this is REAL WORKING AND DISCIPLINE. I have 2 scripts ideas for musical projects. One is based on this video and another one is mine. Someday...
About the photography and editing of this video, all the Piano players in a subtle way could see behind the beauty of Valentina the out of focus of one very old Piano player I think its Rubinstein. I remember old videos on the ARTS channel here in Colombia a long time ago. With just one camera recording at the back like D.W. Griffith times. Good video I liked very much.!!!
I was mightily blessed to be at the actual recording session, and it was the most sublime experience of my life. Thank you Valentina and Alexei and the others. Peter McCranie, MD,
Sviatoslav Richter,Emil Gilels,Artur Rubinstein,Vladimir Horowitz,,very good.Earl Wild,admirable,VAL ...thank you very much.You are...I have not words.I wait Rachmaninoff 3rd & 4th.
If you keep on smiling while playing the difficult finale of the 1st Concerto, you will burst into laughter in the last movement of the third Concerto......

Sorry I think it is kinda funny ;)
I absolutely love Valentina's playing. As you can see she enjoys herself when playing the piano....and it's contagious!! :)
