  • i know

  • XD The voices are terrible.

  • Ya but the game play was better...

  • @RJT0123456789 ... No. Just no.

  • Um, Ya. If you watched the other parts, you'll realize that spider monsters snuck up on you; there were more guns; you could wear different kinds of body armor for situations like fires or attacks or speed; zombies were smart enough to climb cliffs or stairs and they varied from fat zombies and such. It HAD better game play.

  • @RJT0123456789 And that's all well and good, but stuff tends to sneak up a LOT in the old Res Evil games. Zombies liked to hide around corners, dogs busted through windows, etc. As for the body armor thing, that's pretty nifty. I'm glad they brought the idea back with RE5, but it really didn't make a difference except on Professional. As much as I love the classic games, I prefer the new ones. Controls and bad camera stuff made things challenging and all but it wasn't a 'real' difficulty.

  • I'm not even talking about RE4 and 5. I was commenting about your comment about how the voice acting was terrible in 1.5. I assumed you were just bashing the game as inferior to 2 and that's what my response was regarding. That 1.5 wasn't necessarily (and in my opinion, NOT) inferior to the RE2 we both know. And of course it's all well and good; what you all described in 2 was also in 1.5. But I mean like RANDOM traps; and the monster AI was for more superior than the rushed RE2 w/ out armor.

  • Additionally, the environment was far more terrifying; the police station actually looked like a police station. The zombies were more terrifying b/c there were so many variations including the fat zombies; more than one female zombie types. There were more guns and more characters that could affect the ending and that would live or die depending on your choices. The plot was also obviously different. One main thing I liked about it the most was that STARS was able to prove Umbrella's crimes.

  • @RJT0123456789 Oh definitely. The classics were completely Survival Horror, not just slower-paced shooters (at least until you unlock the chaingun... Then it's just silly). The jump moments were awesome though.

Anyway, Resident Evil (at least the older ones) is almost famous for bad voice-acting (i.e. "No! Don't go!", "AAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" a thousand times over, and of course "A few more seconds and you would have been a Jill Sandwich").

  • I think you're misunderstanding me or I'm not explaining. I'm just saying I think this scrapped version of what they originally planned to be RE2, I think, would have been better than the RE2 that was actually released. The original version that's shown on this video.

It sounds like we're talking about completely different subjects.. I'm just talking about Resident Evil/ Biohazard 2; that's it.
