Hey guys, thanks for all the comments! I'm the piper in the video (although I did not name the video clip). This was sort of an experimentation for us, so I thought it went well. I normally play keys in the band.

And for all the pipers out there, I apologize about the sound. It's a combination of poor recording quality, loud fans, and trying to tune a pipe chanter to a guitar. :)

you tune the guitar to the pipe chanter, get him to play b flat, and make him tune his b flat to your low a.

scot here, i disagree. this american learned the pipes and showed pride in his heritage infont of all his friends, although i dont completely agree with the bagpipes being used in rock music, e.g. korn when they are used for marching into battle quite often. but this is alright

i have respect for tradition, but changing something up a little and calling it sacraligeous is a little extreme.

i played this song traditionally at my grandmothers funeral, and i have also played a "rock" version of it at church several times, theres a time and a place for the tradtion, and this wasnt one of them. and this song is VERY special to me actually. and i think comparing this to a "whores drawers" is narrow minded and blowing this way out of porportion.

HEY YOU LOT BEFORE YOU RATE THE GUY WHO SAID IT WAS AWFUL POORLY YOU TRY PLAYING THE PIPES WELL! Then you may see that there is quite a bit to beong a good piper that this lad has not got....yet he may do better in the future. Most of the pipers who play with a rock band or percussion ensemble are truly terrible. Except (Hunting Mcleod, Clanadonia, Dropkick M. once in a while, and maybe Albannach) Solo competition and playing that is were you seperate the Pipers from the wannabes.
