Even tho' I'm not latin american - I definitely could relate to it...no, I've never indulge in drugs - I felt the experience of trying to make a relationship work, when I know it's falling apart right before my eyes. I convinced my boyfriend to watch this movie with me...not knowing it would be our last time together. Thank you for history. Thank you, Jennifer Lopez.

Mark Anthony era el perfecto para hacer el papel de Héctor aunque la voz es diferente a la de lavoe. Fue una lastima que no hicieran una buena historia y se concentraran nada mas en lo malo. También fueron hasta insultantes con Willie Colon. Para mi fue un desastre de película.

The movie 'El Cantante' is GARBAGE. J-Lo and Marc Anthony didn't do Hector Lavoe any justice with this movie. I still can't understand why J-Lo got most of the script. Marc Anthony barely had any lines in the movie. By the way, YOU CAN WATCH 'EL CANTANTE' FREE HERE ON YOUTUBE!
