It's a Yamaha from the 1970's. An FG-375S. I'm not sure how much it was new, but it's priceless to me. I think it was originally a mid price range guitar, but it's really had time to develop a sound over the last few decades.

I tried to learn it a long time ago, but gave up. Then I came back to it and learned the chords and took a shot at a picking pattern which took a couple of days. A few days later I refined what I was playing after studying some live footage and really listening to the song for nuances. I play a couple of things differently now. It was a fun and frustrating week I think.

I think I was tuned down half a step when I played this one. I usually have my guitar tuned down at least half a step so that I can play down-tuned songs when I feel like it. For other songs, I just place a capo in a position that compensates for that half step. This song can be played in standard tuning (capo 5th fret) or with a detuned guitar and a capo up higher to compensate.
