@fredcarbon lad irish culture has degraded itself since those days its nothing more to be proud off. Its actually full off dicky DJs and a people who stand for nothing. Not a thing what luke or any of the great irish legends stood for. We genuinely have no culture now, im 22 and ud have a hard struggle too find another my age that heard this brillant song. And fair play too those who have.

I thought Luke Kelly was the only one who could sing this song till I heard Damien Dempsey sing it. An impossibly beautiful rendition. I must hear more of him.

I listened to a number Dempsey's versions of Luke songs. He should be arrested for murder. This bloke can't sing. It is Luke that makes these songs great. It is the singer not the song. No impersinators please.
