  • 42:05 when you stated "you guys haven't had much to say" I burst out laughing at work. Nice one...

  • gun of the week... Springfield XDM

  • i am doing that right now!

  • Sometimes when I cant sleep I pick one of these radio shows and it helps me sleep. *thumbs up*

  • Right out of the box, My Metro Arms American Classic II from the Philipines serves me perfectly, Has all the extras on it and goes for around $420 -$450,Fit & Finish and reliability is OUTSTANDING!! Youtube or Google one:) You'll see ,Youll WANT one!

  • the image of video

  • what caliber is the bullets here?

  • @UNIWIDE302 .40

  • @UNIWIDE302 45

  • Gatlinburg? in mid-July?

  • Imagine Mr.Hickok pulling out his 10mm and scaring the kids haha

    "GET BACK ON TO TASK!!"

  • 22:17 He talks about what he does for a living

  • wecome to pittsburgh! hope to see you on saturday!

  • You remind me of my physics teacher in high school: very dry sense of humor. I'm a teacher as well (elem. SPED) just finished my masters in school counseling. Teaching is definately a job where you get back what you put in. The kids are great . . .its often the administrators and legislators that suck the life out of education. My mother and father both taught elementary for 35 years. If you don't mind my asking, what are your thoughts on the recent rise in school shootings and prevention?

  • @LordRockfish A lot of teenagers even kids are out of control in today's society. The majority have lost a certain respect for authority. I was taught differently, and raised differently than most kids I see today. I teach my kids in the same manner I was taught, my daughter and my son are two of the most respectful kids I know. They hold doors open for people, always thank you or no thank you. They know order, logical thinking, and humility while maintaining a strong friendship in people.

  • @SuRihtanil i'm sure there have always been "out of control" types of children. In the past teachers/admin were able to make up for the lack of discipline they were receiving at home with the wooden paddle. Now teachers can't even raise their voice. So kids get parents who won't do anything about their behavior and teachers who just can't. Bullying is on the rise and from what I have seen it is often ignored by teachers as "one more thing to deal with" and is at the root of many school shootings

  • @LordRockfish It is ignored... Bullying is real. Something needs to be done, I am most always on the teachers side. 75% of the teachers are right, and only looking out for the best means for the child they teach.

  • @SuRihtanil When these events happen I am amazed at how quickly people dismiss the killer as some type of monster. Yes, their actions were monsterous but they are just people. Most of these "monsters" we create as a society. We let things go on. It is easy to turn a blind eye. In time we end up with Virginia Tech, Columbine, Tuscon. . .Lougher, Cho, Klebold should not have been able to purchase guns. It does not matter what types of guns are available just regulate carefully who can obtain them.

  • @LordRockfish When the government starts deciding who can and who can't own firearms they are using power that is just begging to be abused on the law abiding. The last thing we need is more governmental restriction/red tape that wont prevent a single crime.

  • @ImWatchinTheTube So you think it is OK when individuals with psychological disorders obtain firearms? See, if you asked anyone about the mental health of Loughner and Cho they would have told you some things that would have raised major red flags. A professor of Cho's had said she was not surprised he shot up VT. He was deemed "mentally ill and in need of hospitalization" yet the state of VA decided to follow your advice. Let events like this keep happening and see how long we keep our guns.

  • @LordRockfish I never said I think the mentally ill should have firearms. I believe that only responsible people should own firearms. There IS a law stating that the mentally ill can't buy firearms. There is also a law against murder and bringing firearms into schools, yet the mentally ill and crimminals do these things anyway. Laws that hinder law abiding citizens to own firearm wont stop this.

  • @ImWatchinTheTube Ok, well all i'm saying is the government is already, to a degree, "deciding who can and who can't own guns". We do need legislation and BETTER COMMUNICATION BETWEEN AGENCIES so that we keep guns out of the hands of the insane. I know people can still get guns illegally (I have not tried it but Nugent says you can get a submachine gun in NY in under 15 min. . .though I doubt it) but we still need to take measures on the "legal procurement" end of things. Can't be apathetic.

  • I had noticed long ago that the career field listed on your channel was "education" and I had guessed that you were likely a middle school or high school teacher. Social studies would have probably been my first guess, with English/literature being a close second. You have a very practical, comprehensive way of presenting things which I'm sure lends itself well to your job just as well as it keeps folks like me coming back to your videos. As for "Gun of the Week" I'm guessing the Kahr PM9.

  • Brought back some good memories with this radio show. I did alot of my early shooting at a "dump" just a couple miles out of the small town I grew up in. Like you said, old cars, refrigerators, bottles, etc. It was like a dream shooting gallery for a teenager. that was in the early 80's for me, and that dump is also long gone now. Now living in a city, I didnt know how good I had it back when I didnt have to drive an hour to shoot like now. Thanks Hickok.

  • methinks Kahr

  • Hey Buddy-

I learn something every video you make...

    Thanks

  • src9

  • Another great one Hickok, thanks

  • its got to be the ruger, considering that he starts talking about "this ruger (that ive got here)" later in the episode

  • It must be a Glock 27

  • is it a ruger sr9c?!!!

  • I have to guess Glock :P

Which one? I am not sure

  • gen 4 Glock 27 for the gun action of the week

  • gun of the week....Double barrel coach?

  • I think we need to find a way to get a new Glock video in, I did just pick up a new 17 gen 4.... (Living in the glock box....life's good in here)

  • Kahr PM9?

  • @MadtactiX That's what I was thinking too, Kahr PM9.

  • I stared at my screen, barely alive,

when I heard Hickok's voice say "KGB sixty-five"!

I've watched every upload, it wasn't that hard,

seeing all kinds of weapons displayed in the yard.

A "bank of questions"- a quiz! My interest doth peak,

I've felt like an idiot, from "The Gun of The Week".

  • "Target-rich environment?"

How long have you been an active shooter, hickok? ;)

  • You know, I would happily listen to you go on about guns for a couple hours each week. I actually tune in while doing work (the repetitive kind that doesn't require much though) so it's easy to listen in. When you ended the show and told us to get to work, I thought "dangit, now I don't feel like working anymore" haha.

  • Awww man really hard his week. Someone else guessed XD so I'm going with that too, no hammer and the mags are stainless. Not sure if Hickok has one... but maybe!

  • Mr. Hickok have you thought about interviewing John for a future Radio Show Episode ? Alot of people, including myself would really like to hear from the man behind the camera.

  • @purkjason, Actually, yes. I asked him about it several weeks ago, and we were going to do it this week but couldn't seem to get it done this week. We're going to do that soon.

  • Hickock is by far the best "big" channel by far on yt! hes no "epandhandler" like the other 98% he uses the main thing they don't which is ""morals" hes there to teach us and not fleece us! "Life is good"

  • gun action is your ruger sr9 c

  • Here I am at work listening once again Hickok45! Thank goodness as this has passed time for me very well!

    Thanks Larry

  • hey hickock, wondering if you could next time bring up how hard it is to get a carry license in NJ. my dad used to work for a beer distributing company in which he would have to carry over 80k in cash to banks and accounts. at one point someone else was robbed and killed someone with the same job. my dad still couldn't get a permit even though he had a clean record and had been shootin since birth.

  • You need to be on gun rights radio very much! That would be amazing.

  • ★★★★★

I really enjoy your Radio Shows. Thank you for making them.

  • Need to put links in your contents area for some of what you speak about, like the guy you listen to on Sundays, a link would be great. Keep up the great videos and the weekly talk you tube!! Thanks!!

  • Kahr P380 for the gun of the week.

  • xd/xdm is my guess for gaow. the "kinda stainless" is the magazine. why do they do that? i mean they make a really nice tactical style gun then stick a shiny mag in it :(

  • SpringField XD?

  • Coffee and Hickok45 is just a good way on a rainy day to enjoy life.

  • @tiggerr42431 100%

  • BTW, the 22 pump action was my first guess. I deleted my comment and then went with the lever action .22. Dang it.

  • Okay, GAOW is tuff this time. Go to gun, no hammer, black and steel, two years old, sounds like a magazine fed, short action. Don't think it's a Ruger or Kahr, 'cause that doesn't seem old enough to you. I'm thinking it's a Glock, but which one? I'm guessing it's your 21 that you keep for those "bump in the night" moments. Might have had that longer tho. Not sure.

  • sr9c

  • see you next weekend!

  • I'm raising my hand Hickok when is glock going to make a small thin light weight single stacked 9mm. I know they have import restrictions but come on every other manufacture has one why can't us glock lovers get a piece!!

  • that gun is 9mm or smaller and sound polymer but i live in Australia so that's the best I can do by sound. Sounds like that carry gun nutnfancy carries

  • I've been subscribing for awhile now. I listen to your radio shows and watch all your videos. You seem like a really good guy. I wish I had friends like you.

  • .410 slugs in the JUDGE would be great, cheers.

  • I can say, you are one fine teacher.

  • @rcnut812 , My pop quiz-dazed students just might not agree! :-) You wouldn't believe how mean I am to them. I remind them often that the only reason I teach is that I hate kids, and where else can one get paid to "hate" them all day long and be mean to them! :-)

  • @hickok45 gah pop quizzes... still keep me up at night tossing and turning trying to escape the inevitable... and always when I haven’t read the chapter.. how the heck am I supposed to remember what Shane's gun was anyway

I can’t believe that you are another teacher responsible for torturing students just like my teachers did... just look what they turned me into! Just think of the future, don’t destroy our youth with pop quizzes!

  • Again Love all of your Vidoes Hickok 45 . One of my first guns was also the S and W Mod 19 with the 6in b. that was the gun that I started reloading for. Loved that Gun. wish I had not sold it way back when. I sold it because it got a rust spot on the forcing cone and when I tried to remove the rust it became a Pit over a 16th in deep . so I sold it. man dont think you can buy a new one anymore? Oh well. TTYL. James In Modesto CA

  • Again Love all of your Vidoes Hickok 45 Your the man . YOOO . LOL. James In Modesto CA

  • Again Love all of your Vidoes Hickok 45 Your the man . YOOO . LOL. James In Modesto CA

  • Keep doing what you LIKE to do, that's what makes your channel great.

  • Great vid Hickok!

  • Man, there was a "dump" like that where I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas...old refrigerators and whatnot. You just brought me back to the good ol days...Thanks pard

  • I also think it's the PM9. Thanks for this week's videos!

  • gun-of-the-week = kahr pm9 = Hickok45's go-to gun

  • gun of the week... 30-30 lever action

  • great vidio and i think the gun of the week is a springfield xd

  • "If your crazy enough to listen to these radio shows, I don't know, you must be easily amused is all i can say." Hickok come on now you have a gre ohhhh shiny things!

  • I have an old detonics 45....little thing....like it.

  • glock 21 current favorite....

  • You need to put these up on itunes...if you don't already. Also, I was just in your neck of the woods last weekend. We had a big family reunion. I brought my new glock 26 and I even taught my cousin how to shoot.

  • went out and shot the glock 22. was an awesome day.

  • Listening to this, cleaning by Bushmaster and watching Ten Commandments hahahahaha

  • ruger sr9

  • Hickok, I think I can speak for everyone when I say, we'd rather have a 'boring' radio show, than no radio show.

  • Being a 1911 guy myself, I am sure the extractor may need some tuning if needed, but most of the "out of the box" 1911's I have never seen an issue with. In the 70's and 80's yes we seen all kinds of issues, to day I dont see it at all most manufactures have it down now

  • I just want to say "Thank You" for all of your informative Glock videos and for telling us about the Talon Grips. I just got my first grips in the mail today and it makes the G26 more amazing if that's even possible. Glock4Life

  • I love your videos...I dont think i have seen a .22 LR video..That would be a fun one to watch. Every shooter has a 22...lol

  • @bushmaniacishere , We have several. I think I have a .22 Rimfire playlist.

  • MY hand was UP!!

  • lol i lived in knoxville for a bout 2 years for school, love that area of the country, been in all those town you talk about, beautifull part of the country

  • id like to say kahr pm9 but not sure youve had it that long.... cant wait for the sr1911 vids!

  • @2rzTacoSr5 I'd agree with you on the PM9 for GOTW.

  • i wish you were my teacher :)

  • I am easily amused.

  • I think the gun action is a Ruger SR9c.

  • im thinking an xd

  • 1.)pm9, I thought glock 19 at first

2.)im going to join the nra now, that was a very good point about the wheelbarrel

3.)I wish I knew you were going to be in the burgh today, i would love the chance to say hi.

  • Why don't you ask everyone to talk about the first (FIRST) Hickok video they ever watched.

  • I would love to see some TNE AR-15's....Just my .02

  • glock again

  • First one I've had the time to listen to all the way through. Loved it, great job Hickok45!

  • "The JONES 1911".........Yeah, I like the sound of that!

    Dale Jones aka THE ELTOPIAN

  • listened to this while cleaning my new shotgun. now that its over, im gonna go shoot! hahaha

  • a polymer pistol, most likely a G 27...

  • one of those new 1911s

  • Hi Hickok45

great radio show again, the gun action this week is Glock 26 and bring on the Competition.

  • Hickok good sir, I wish you would host your podcasts on itunes or elsewhere so I could take them to work with me! I appreciate the great work you do!

  • Middle schoolers are little bastards. At least I was.lol

  • cool video. yeah try to ignore those who ask for your details unless you want too. love your videos and broadcast's thx for posting.

  • Please make a giveaway contest like a gift card to a gunshop or something.

  • good show

  • watch all your vids, first i've had time to listen to the show. excellent! you are a genuine red blooded john wayne, a man of men. by this, i mean your career, obviously, you're one of those teachers making a difference in those kids lives. thankyou, and enjoy the entertaining vids.

  • I bet YOU don't have any issues with those kids! If you do...just show them the channel. They'll either be afraid or impressed!

  • Oh, I know that I spend too much time on this channel...my girlfriend reminds me every day! On a serious note, I am very glad that even with your popularity here on youtube, we don't have to sit through a lame commercial before each video like some channels. If you started allowing ads, I don't think I would continue watching the channel. ....well, I don't know if I'd say all that, but it's nice you haven't started doing that yet!

  • nothing like a saturday afternoon breakfast, with coffee and the Hickok radio show playing!

  • glock 27

  • The mystery gun is a HK P-7

  • Kahr PM9?

  • I think people who do not find this entertaining are the crazy ones! Eccellent radio show once again. I guess the Kahr P380 for this weeks gun.

  • kel tec pf9

  • it would be heaven if i could actually pick this up on my car radio

  • Sounds like a kahr or something striker fired like that.

  • Kahr pm9

  • Middle school kids are at a wild age, I know thats where everything went wrong for me, lol

  • Glock 22

  • I'm really diggin the radio shows! Thanks for doing it

  • My Colt 1911 does the same thing! (last rounds sits on top of the magazine) How do I fix this? (how do I "bang on" the extractor?)

  • @ThePechanator2

Look up on youtube "how to tune 1911 extractor" there should be step by step videos. Or if you don't think you want/can do it take it to a gunsmith.

  • Bring KGB and the 25 questions on!

  • sounds like some polymer gun.

  • Thanks for another great show! This weeks WAG - Glock 21 Lone Wolf barrel.

  • Today I woke up, did my coffee, and started to listen to this... ooh, my morning was AWESOME!!!

  • Kahr PM9

  • People like Hickok45 because it's not just shooting guns; it's also about good American values. The good teacher always teaches values in whatever is being taught. Good shootin' and good teachin'! (Real good shootin')

  • @1023471965

well said sir, he kinda just puts out that teacher vibe without being condescending or super intense.

  • @1023471965 AND he doesn't have dumb ass t-shirts too!

  • @1023471965 AND he doesn't have dumb ass t-shirts too! Back in 1988 Glocks were a joke, Hickock, you NEED to talk about how slow the Glock was comming to the old and current generation of the time, Glocks took a LONG time to catch on, people laughed at them, and that was due to the old school menatlity that is afluente with gun collectors, please let people know, It took a long time for people to accept Glocks. I did once. I don't have many subs!

  • You need to turn these into a podcast so I can listen to them in the car!

  • Thanks for another great show, looking forward to the next!

  • Kahr pm9... And I dont care if you just ramble...just keep having weekly shows...please :)

  • Haha. The Glock 19 thinks it is a 1911!!! Only does ot with HP Ammo. But all five magazines do this. I trust in Glock and look forward to replacement 9mm3, 9mm, or 9mm5 followers. If anybody out there is familiar with this (and solved the issue) please send me tips. Much appreciation in advance.

  • Btw: i am experencing Glock 2183 Follower LRFF issues. The CA reduced round 10/15 magazines hang up and jam the last round. Requires releasing the mag fully and opening the slide, picking out the cartridge. So I will have tales of Glock CSR after next week. They were closed Friday.

  • It is a neat sterotype buster that you teach "Literary Endeavors". Your gift of storytelling reaches many. I really like listening to your show.

  • aww..the ole dump..how things have changed..=recycle centers

  • Glock 27?

  • While I enjoy the T&E work you've been doing,

I have to voice my concern regarding the possible

population increase of zombies in your AO.

Havent seen ya put any down for a while,

Zombies are like rust...they never sleep.

  • Too easy this week Kahr.

  • Ruger sr9c handgun

  • Testing value-priced 1911s is a great idea. Looking forward to your vids on the Ruger and ATI 1911s. That will be a great help to me and others who want to buy a first 1911 but don't have big money to spend.

  • Spending Saturday morning, drinking coffee and talking about guns. Can't think of anything better.

  • I`m gesing it`s a glock?And hope you have a grayt weekend to hickok.

  • kahr pm9

  • It's the Ruger SR9c. Love these radio shows.

  • kahr pm9

  • Hey Hickok, I know Kimber, is not original old school 1911 manufacturer. Do you have any personal experience with or opinions about Kimbers? The 1911 have become their most popular product line. I have one of their older "Classic Model Custom" 1911s that I have been very pleased with. Any thoughts?

  • Since Ruger is willing to send you T&E guns I really wish you would get them to send you a LCR to test. I think you will be impressed.

  • It's the Kahr PM9.

  • kahr pm9

  • Your radio show allows me to "pretend" I'm actually doing something useful at the computer at the same time.... I alway lose concentration and stare at the screen after about 3 minutes! J R

  • Thanks again. The internet is a great thing, but so much not so great stuff on here too. Said it b 4 but again thanks for keeping it real and clean for the kids and the adults. You do a great job at both. keep it up! Thanks

  • It's the Kahr PM9! =D

  • Personnel manager at one of Larry Flints Deja Vu clubs would be my ideal job .

  • gotta be the Kahr you love those Kahrs.

  • Marlin guide gun .45-70

I hope you don't ever feel you don't have enough to talk about and skip it. Gets my day started in a positive way. Really enjoy it. Thanks for doing it for us junkies. Have a great week.

  • In 75 years glock will have its turn.lol
