EVERYONE! Andy is in a glass case because drums tend to drown a lot of the guitars/bass/vocals out. The glass house thing is to contain the noise of the drums so patrick, pete, and joe's mics don't pick up the drums. Thus making more clarity in the recording. This is needed especially in a live broadcast. Don't worry andy's drums are mic'd. FALL OUT BOY FOREVER :D

@batan182 it's cause they're in a small little area and it helps block out some of the acoustics that the drums put out basically it helps to lower the drummer my church has the same thing around the drum set there cause it's a small area where the band plays oh and also it's not glass i don't think it's like plastic but really sturdy it might even be plexi glass not sure

It's because the audio is run direct through a soundboard and straight through to a recorder so there isn't any feedback. Plus they have noise canceling headphones/monitors on so the mix that they are all hearing is AMAZING and helps them play their parts better.
