Thanks for the compliment. For the rhythm part I am playing a Fender Texas Special Strat and for the solo I am playing an Ibanez JS1200. I wanted to use my Strat for the solo because in my opinion, it sounds better for this solo but a broken string kept me from doing so.
Yo man, as an intermediate guitarist, this solo may be 'beyond my paygrade' (heh), but I want to learn it anyway. That's how one advances, yes? Where can folks obtain the tab for this and other songs? Short of being supplied tab, I'll suspect I'll need to scribe it myself by watching your fingering. Unfortunately there's a glare on your fretboard that make it difficult to see, not impossible, but difficult. I'll keep trying because that is one fine rendition of the song. Great job.
Thanks. The first part (just the rhythm with the strat) was played straight through a Raven RG-20 practice amp and I used a Shure SM57 mic off axis. The bass and mid are set flat, the treble is set to about 10 o'clock and the gain about 2 o'clock. For the solo, it was an Ibanez JS1200 through a Boss GT-6 on the Heavy Zone setting with added compression and custom digital delay going directly to the front of a Fender Twin amp clean channel. The treble was at 4 the mid was at 7 and the bass at 4.
For the solo, it was an Ibanez JS1200 through a Boss GT-6 on the Heavy Zone setting with added compression and custom digital delay going directly to the front of a Fender Twin amp clean channel. It actually sounds better on my '89 custom strat with DiMarzio's, but as I was recording the video, I broke a string on it and had to use the Ibanez.

I think you have the tone of the guitar really well and I find you play a lot cleaner then some of the other vids with the same solo. I'll check your other vids but I'll ask anyway. Do you have the second solo posted here?
Very close. Keep listening to the subtle differences in phrasing and you'll have it.

Thanks for the compliment. I actually made the background myself and used a sequencer. If I can find it, I will upload it.
