  • what airport is this?

  • what are the fastest settings?

  • @theguyinthefunnyhat

    You can --disable 3D clouds,

    --disable-intro-music

    --enable-random-objects

    --fog-fastest

    --disable-horizon-effect

    --disable-enhanced-lighting

    --enable-real-weather-fetch

and any other features not required from your visual effects withing Flightgear. Check the forum and they have more answers to your question :)

  • what are your pc specs? does it need open gl?

  • @theguyinthefunnyhat Linux / 2 core/ 3GB RAM / Nvidia 9300 Video . Generally Flightgear can work with even lower specs and yes the new version of flightgear does need opengl.

  • it is acutally SHAMLA not Simla

  • @mmaannddeepp Thanks for the correction buddy..appreciate that

  • hmm thats cool, but not realistic. who wants a boeing 787 in the middle of some indian mountains lol

  • @pipotinototo Spot....no one wants to land a 787 on any mountain with such a bad runway.

  • do you fly the whole time from take-off to landing. and how much time does it usally take to get were your going.

  • It depends where you are going actually...Some airports are close by....it can even be 5-15 or 60 minutes and if i am flying from Asia to LA, on Auto pilot mode, it can take 17 hours...so it all depends what's your destination actually

  • Can somebody help me find an aiport? this airport is in the mountains by a river the runways cuts off just before the edge of the mountain. i flew it once and forgot the name. if yall found it yall would enjoy approaching it. its a cool challenge. THANKS

if not dont worry about it

  • @titoh0630 Tell us at least what region is was from. From your descriptions, i will not be amazed if its an airport from Canada either...

  • Hi can you tell me whats the airport ID? thx

  • VISM

  • is there anyway to set your plane up for a straight in landing without 1st having to take off and turn around??

  • if u know the lat and longtitute coordinates, you can start from there....

  • Or you can click on Location>In air> and change distance to -3 (or however many miles away) and then speed and altitude to whatever, then you will be in approach already!, its good for practising landing.

  • yeah i tried it and it works

    thanks

  • hey xsaint i don't know how to install the livery of 787

    Jericho

  • once downloaded, do u select open or save and what do you do next???

  • Most package will have a readme file within. All you need to do is copy those files to the specified locations as stated in the readme file...

  • Hey xsaint! It's me Jetman. Nice video! Never knew there was an airport there. :)

  • SIMLA or SHIMLA, India is a mountain top tourist spot in India. It has a airport on it. The airfield does not emit any ILS or VOR sadly and it is intended for small aircrafts and not for Boeing 737/777 or 787..usually small propelled crafts :)

  • thanks a lot

  • how do you put the livery on the plane

  • very tall mountain!

  • man you are awesome.

im a noob, can you suggest some beginner airplane for me ?

im having trouble with landing straight and finding the airport

  • Beginner plane? you could try citation bravo or learjet 35A. It is kinda easier to fly and you can take off/land from short runways too. to find airport, say the runway number to land is 06, then approximately you should head 06X10=160 degrees bearings,,,,,,

  • same lol

  • how do you fly so good? I cant even land a boeing 777 correctly straight on the runway I can only, very best land it on the grass

  • Practice...and come in slow (not stall)..plan ahead for approach(not nose dive)..need be go around. To land in ctr of runway, imagine you draw a line vertical on your screen just above the left AP button. Now keep this imaginary line align to the ctr of runway and that will lead you....

  • great music, what song?what DJ?

  • Thank you....

    Happy flying captain.... :)

  • your FLightgear A-10 is real good :-)

  • I thought of doing a different color scheme for A-10 soon

  • From where u get the scenery?

  • picture perfect couldnt do better myself im not joking i couldnt 5/5

  • how did you get the emirates aircraft

  • you get it from unitedfreeworld(dot)com in the livery section
