  • Of course John has to do it. I guess his point was When chinese and Indians and third world pollute the atomosphere to glory in the name of not hindering their development, why would America which is struggling today to create jobs put more regulations that would strangle the job creation. Of course global warming is real and its long term effects could be bad may be in the next 20-30 yrs. But we need to get this economy running right now and we don't want EPA to regulate the energy jobs.

  • Ron paul, 2012 presidency..

  • When will liberals learn that climate change is a massive fraud so the government can tax you more. It will not take long until they start trading carbon credits on wall street and this will make the derivatives trading ponzischeme scam look like small potatoes.

  • @TheParaz Yes, all environmental scientists are part of a conspiracy to tax us more. Give me a fucking break, idiot.

  • The amount of money spent on lobbying for Oil is ten times higher then that for ALL Clean Energy. It's little wonder why the Science is being ignored.

  • @DeepSouth16 Boy you are funny.

  • Wow... I didn't realize how annoying that TV behind Cenk usually is. :-) Can we please go back to the Spartan bricks look? The lack of visual noise in the background is quite soothing.

  • Right-wing nutjobs who are against science should stop driving cars, flying planes, watching TVs, using computers, or going to doctors when you're sick.

  • So far the repubutard candidates have made sure they hit every thing on the evangelical check list. Huntsman- climate change not man made. Ron Paul- theory of evolution isn't right. Bachmann- anti gay marriage. Santorum- frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter.

The republicans don't give a shit about these issues, it's just a way to get elected so their corporate masters can continue their business as usual.

It's called pandering to your constituates so they'll vote for you.

  • Well, at least he went back after a trip to crazy town, aka republican city.

  • @DeepSouth16 - Well, I know you're a troll, because you couldn't be that devoid of brain cells and still be capable of posting on YouTube, but... How the heck is looking to renewable energy resources and developing more efficient energy solutions anti-capitalist? As I die-hard capitalist, I see a huge number of market opportunities. Oh - and CO2 warming has been science for about a century. You can test it in your back yard. Duh! Keep up with the class, short-bus.

  • @47f0

Ironic you call someone else a troll. Look at your comments here. You lay into people with such hostility just begging for an argument. You don't care about exchanging ideas, learning, or teaching others. You just care about arguing, calling names, trying to make people feel as miserable as you do.

I think you should probably go smoke some weed, honestly.

  • What do you think you can win?! LOL I love the malice.

  • Huntsman should just leave the Republican party and go become a democrat or an independent. If the race was between Obama, Huntsman, and any of the insanely far-right winged Republican, I'll probably go with Huntsman.

  • LMFAO, I crush math on a daily basis. Going to have to remember that one.

  • Wait... what!? *scratches head* Huntsman y u no make any sense? Good thing I have Cenk to explain these things to me :P

  • Jobs are obviously more important than the fait of the planet...

  • Too bad Jon Huntsman is the only one with a fucking brain in the republican party. Makes sense for the GOP to ignore him.

  • Who cares what Jon Huntsman says?

  • @DeepSouth16 Maybe if you showed some facts or evidence people would be more inclined to agree with you...

  • I agree with Cenk, but I think he is looking more into this than necessary. I think Huntsman is still going for the 2016 strategy, but he just had a bad moment here. I think he is smart enough to learn from his obvious mistake.

  • ugh i like huntsman :(

  • the rant at the end was priceless "I crush math" LMAO

  • Give me your money and ill do what YOU say.

  • where the fuck would we be without scientists "they owe us more" my ass

  • @zupergozer - He meant that the scientists need to provide more information.

  • @zupergozer As a scientist in training, thank you

  • @zupergozer We'd still be in the dark ages that were largely brought on by an early Christian stigma about science because the oppressive Romans valued science and the Christians hated everything Roman.

  • @ThwartedVillainy yeah the romans were awesome at technology

did you know they could built a bridge over the Rhine in ten days? that is so awesome

  • i never understood this, even if greenhouse gases and other pollutants aren't causing climate change it's still destroying our environment

  • @NumbuhoftheBeastBurg

Even if climate change weren't real, I would have to be blind, deaf and dumb to be unable to see we're polluting our environment. I don't need anyone to prove climate change to me to realize we need to pollute less and use cleaner technologies. Our countries are becoming massive landfills full of plastic crap.

  • the scientific community ows us more for real, he is right

  • I don't understand why in order to be against government intrusion to this crisis, you also have to deny the science of global warming!

You can EASILY accept it's real, and that we're causing it, and EASILY say the government has no business trying to fix anything, but rather the free market.

Think about it, make it easy for small businesses specializing in energy efficiency methods, or alternative fuels. Give them a 100% tax break and you'll see that market emerge.

  • @chronDiggity - You really are just a simple creature aren't you? Who, in your demented world view, gives tax breaks? Stop. Just stop, because I can tell you're about to blow your three remaining neurons. It's the government. Tax breaks ARE government manipulation. Doh! Which is fine. If I get a tax break for not taking a shit in your front yard, that's probably a good thing that government is doing - but it's by no means a lack of government intrusion - it's exactly the opposite.

  • @47f0

No it isn't. It's government getting out of the way. Taxes are the intrusion. I don't understand why you would start your comment out to a perfect stranger with such hostility. I have a feeling you're projecting. Did someone make you feel stupid in an argument elsewhere earlier? People who talk like you are doing so to make themselves feel superior.

Lifting regulations, removing tax burdens, that's the government pulling back it's grubby mits and getting out of the way.

  • im a ron paul guy and i beleive the free market will provide alternative sources of energy to stop global warming.

  • @KennyBare - I'm a Ron Paul guy, and I believe the biological science that lets me practice medicine is completely fake, because evolution isn't real. I believe that states should be able to pollute the rivers freely for states downstream from them, because we don't need federal oversight. But I mostly believe the nation should have no educational standards, because only an ignorant bunch of uneducated fucks would ever vote for me. Ron Paul 20NEVER.

  • @47f0

Actually Ron Paul is a libertarian, which means he wants an emphasis on property rights. That means corporations will deal with compensation directly with the owner of property they pollute, not with DC. Not only that, but he wants to offset responsibilities from EPA to other departments, because after all, how can people get jobs or buy stuff if they're sick from companies polluting?

The DOE was created in 1979 and even the American Federation of Teachers was adamantly AGAINST the idea

  • @chronDiggity - I've always chuckled at that word... "Libertarian". I guess that name got invented because "Randian sociapaths who think poor kids should work in sweatshops or die in the streets" wouldn't fit on a bumper sticker. In your twisted little "states rights" libertarian world, who enforces anything when my state is spewing mercury and your state is downwind? And prior to the creation of the FDA, Americans were made sick with toxic products and snake oil - and kept buying.

  • @47f0

We still have snail oil salesmen, just look at Enzyte. We also still get sick, despite the FDA. In fact, back in October, the farmer's market here in DC food contaminated with deadly bacteria was being sold right outside the headquarters of the government agency in charge of enforcing the nation’s food safety rules.

These issues could easily be addressed by consumer groups, similar to how some foods are certified kosher. Check into how much kosher beef is recalled.

    Stop being afraid.

  • @chronDiggity - Yep. What I thought. You didn't address a single point I raised. My state is polluting your state. What's your solution without invoking the Federal government? War? Much of the world walks around crapping blood - and dieing, because they have no FDA to regulate food or water quality. Would you rather drink from a faucet in Utah, or one in Somalia? Oh - and Jews get food poisoning, too - Kosher isn't magic.

  • @KennyBare .......do tell ? So Ron Paul is going to break up the oligolopoly of the big energy provider...

  • Huntsman, you were already in dead water in this campaign run; why do this NOW?

  • I have NEVER EVER seen more incapable people leading a country (or trying to) as the US.... I hate you for it...

  • Why isnt the moderate choice given more air time?

Why is it that only the crazies are given time to state their case?

It would be beneficial for people on the left to point right oriented people towards the more moderated candidate, but instead we are only given "news" stories on Newt G, Herman Cain and all the other crazies. The only ideologically person we some times hear from is the fantasy policy guy Ron Paul.

The crazies get more poll votes because the media focus on them and so does TYT.

  • I really think was blown out of proportion. Huntsman supported science, spokesman said something he didn't agree with, he confirmed his view....End of story?

  • I really had hope for Jon Huntsman, but i guess not.

  • I am pro science, but to say that spending trillions to reduce carbon emissions that may not even work will not have enormous negative impact on the global economy is an understatement.

  • @TheOrdinaryEconomist

Increasing spending on clean energy would be beneficial though. Considering just how many people are jobless in america.

  • @TheOrdinaryEconomist as aposed to spending it on war

  • @tmarritt, No spending on war is just as bed.

  • @TheOrdinaryEconomist

So it's better to spend trillions on the clean-up that will be a direct result of our procrastination to engage in action instead of doubting talk? So it's better to ignore the problem and never try to solve it? The fact is the Republican'ts don't want to deal with reality and their candidates have to be in lockstep or they'll be out of an acting gig.

  • @frededison, The effects of climate change is gradual and as supplies of fossil fuels decrease the price will increase and the demand for renewables will increase. I would estimate a slow transition over the next few hundred years, but I could be wrong if supplies of fossil fuels are greater than projected or technology increases at a faster rate. I would argue that the democrats are just as much puppets as the republicans.

  • @TheOrdinaryEconomist - " the effects of climate change ARE gradual"

    .

    A) Get your subject/verb tense correct.

    B) No. It's not gradual. It's no more gradual than you standing on a soda can. It's fine, as long as no one taps the can on its side - then the whole thing collapses. There are multiple tipping-point mechanisms, and we have too many historical data sources that indicate that once you nudge the house of cards, the whole thing collapses fairly rapidly.

  • @47f0

Like the release of frozen methane in the siberian tundra, a much stronger greenhouse gas

What alarms me is how people don't understand how these triggers would continue to push temperatures up. A common denier canard is the "temperature leads CO2" line. they see temperature rising with CO2 rising behind it, suddenly they think they know everything, that it's common sense. Orbit starts the temperature rise, released CO2 continues to drive it up, and trigger new warming mechanisms

  • @TheOrdinaryEconomist It's not just carbon emissions, it's fixing our electrical grid and finding alternative sources or energy. It sucks in a ton of money, yes, but it works in the long run, for the economy and the world.

  • You know what might else "hobble" jobs? Fish stock collapse. Anyone give two shits about that? Bueller? Bueller?

  • One percent of scientists work for oil companies. We will have jobs and prosperity until the air turns to shit and children die from asthma.

  • Why did I click this? Jon Huntsman isn't relevant....to anything.

  • @ JoeyHe could be very relevant if people would get over his religion. The dude knows more about CHINA than most anybody in America & he understands their people (speaks Mandarin). Would he be a good president? Maybe not, but this guy could be very influential behind the scenes or as a cabinet member. He is an Eagle Scout, wildly wealthy (wealth is influence), was an ambassador to China and was the Governor of Utah. Much more experience than most uneducated Americans would give him credit for.

  • i really think cenk is making this bigger than it should be. ok, so a moderate republican changed a certain aspect of his views to appeal to conservative americans. and? how many times has that happened? id still rather have huntsman win over any other republican candidate, because at least hes a reasonable person. wouldnt vote for him, but hes still an honest guy in my book

  • @AllForRockNRoll Your book is horseshit.

  • @nilbud so you think we should judge an entire politician's career simply because he made a minor error during one campaign? look, i am no republican by any means, but i think that among the current array of idiots we have running for the GOP nomination, huntsman is still the best. i dont see how you could disagree. what cenk is saying here that because of this fumble, huntsman is now at the same level of idiocy as michele bachmann.

  • Huntsman is the last Republican I had any shred of respect for. So much for that now...

  • I used to flip flop but then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • this isn't a flip flop

  • Jon Huntsman sucks............

  • I love the bitter irony of conservatives being unconvinced on global warming. Scientific community owes you more information? Fair enough, increase the DoE and EPA budgets and they'll run more studies. You're literally forcing the federal government to be LESS fiscally conservative.

  • Huntsman is simply being strategic. If most of the consituents believe in Santa claus then it would make scense to pretend as if Santa claus exists or the science is out on his existence. That's what Huntsman is doing he knows the republican voter base is pretty ignorant.

  • @TheCaliCapitalist Yeah your tiny money grubbing brain has no use for concepts like truth or honesty but real people value them.

  • It always amazes me that some people deny science's validity and trustworthiness, all the while using electricity, communication networks, computers, television, cars, vaccines, medicine, modern manufacturing, GPS, nuclear power, aircraft, etc.

It's not as if even climate change and evolution are some isolated theories. It's ALL interconnected, peer reviewed, consistent. Even if there are mistakes, Science is self correcting and never claims to possess ultimate truth, nor defends itself blindly.

  • If he's 2% then why are you talking about him?

    RON PAUL 2012

  • @krumbumm Ron Paul is worse than this guy

  • @glemmstengal Ron Paul is the only genuinely consistent candidate currently in the race.

  • @krumbumm Consistantly ridiculous and insane. His heroin and guns in the classroom programme is fantastic.

  • There goes the one thing that would make me vote for him...

  • @dmcarefuldriver You live in a dumb fantasy world.

  • Comment removed

  • Even if he's a flip-flopper, he's the only Republican that doesn't make me cry.

You guys are so fucked down there, man.

  • @lowenklee Look, all I'm saying is, I'm Al Gore, I'm not hiring Sean Hannity. I'm hiring people who agree with me. Perfectly logical. Its not a conflict of interest. You have the cause and effect switched up. He doesn't agree with global warming science because he works for Current. He works for Current because he agrees with global warming science.

  • @ypsidan04 You've confused facts with opinions again.

  • Yes many jobs would be destroyed if we started several new companies to research and implement clean technology. huh?

  • I'm a physicist of a politician.

  • @Zlibservacratican And I trust the body size of a woman.

  • He is also releasing an extended campaign spot called 'snow white and the huntsman'

  • @TheOkham Snow White finds the TF2 Huntsman?

  • I wonder how many times Huntsman had to brush his teeth to get the taste out of his mouth.

  • "Christianity is great for science..... oh, wait, i'm under house arrests? Well at least they're not burning me at the stake as a heretic like others who dared to challenge the absurdity in the bible" - Galileo Galilei

  • @jschultzVII Your hilarious ignorance of history is laughable.

  • @nilbud Mmmmmm No. What I said was accurate. Sorry if it offends your delicate Christian sensibilities.

    Now fuck off.

  • What is this high school? Where being smart and knowing shit is unpopular?

  • I hate when moderates do this sort of thing..

  • Huntsman used to believe in global warming but then he took an arrow in the knee.

  • @xBlake4

The joke is over already in case you missed the memo

  • @Phyrexious

I got the memo.. but then I took an arrow in the knee.

  • @xBlake4 We understand that's your code for daddy's cock in your ass but no one gives a shit.

  • First time I remember TYT mention Huntsman in the campaign, and they jump straight to trying make a "flip flop".

  • @TheCarambah You're sleepy, it's all too much for you.

  • @nilbud Why hello there fatso. What are you up to?

  • @TheCarambah It's youtube not a mirror.

  • @nilbud Yes, it's the main page. It's not an exact copy of the same dataset. You sure are knowledgeable. So fatso you got any more random tidbits to share?

  • Rationalist: Global warming is the greatest threat to the continued stability of life on Earth. It will endanger the continued existence of the human species, as well as many others, perhaps producing a mass extinction event. Some areas of the earth will be underwater, some will become deserts. Mass exodus from affected places and a shortage of resources will lead to political instability worldwide.

Moron: [trollface] lolz u idot. dunt u no global wrming iz a hox?

  • Dude, this went passed journalism...and Ron Paul was never talking about letting people die, you even reported on that. Bring it in a little Cenk, you're one of my heros, but be a realist, not a liberal.

  • I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a Sith, but you don't need to be killing a Jedi everyday to know there's something wrong in this galaxy when Jedi can openly preach about the 'good' side of the force anywhere but our apprentices can't kill their rival in school. As Emperor, I'll end the council's war on the dark side. And I'll fight against preachers who call us cruel. Killing made the empire strong. It can make it strong again. I'm Darth Revan and I approve this message you rebel scum.

  • @Animan223 Arrow knee.

  • @Animan223

Kreia says both sides are wrong and the Force is inherently evil and should be utterly destroyed.

  • @Animan223 hahaha that is amazing. I MUST repost this or reddit it!

  • @kuruptid

Why thank you. xD I got it from my friend, and he demanded i post it around. Spread the word of Darth Revan!

  • I am horrified that to be a republican means to hate any and all kinds of scientific progress. Fuck those ignorant, sheepy, delusional bastards. If we bequeath the world to them we truly will get thrown back into the dark ages.

  • He's still the sanest GOP candidate (Ron Paul is not bad too, but i don't wanna sae that cos his supporters are freaking annoying)

  • Sad, he was one of the few GOP noms who was actually reasonable.

  • cuntsman will say anything his big business masters tell him.

  • How stupid is Jon Huntsmann??? I mean, it's pretty clear he's not going to be the president of the USA. That should be pretty clear to him as well... His whole campaign has been about trust in science and especially global warming. Let's face it. Even Huntsman knows he is not really in the race anymore. But if he would stick to his guns he would at least have some credibility left and could benefit from this after the elections. Now, he is just another republican loser among many others. FAIL!!

  • Dammit Jim!

  • 2016 if a republican wins, will all be dead by then...,

  • I thought it was called Global Warming?

  • @CrisKG125

It used to be and still should be. But ignorant people say "climate change" as a sneaky way of getting around having to acknowledge the temperature is rising. Because climate change is ambiguous. Some ass haat thought it was a great idea during the bush admin. Thus difusing a hot topic by making it seem plausible it is decreasing in temp.

Which is a known fact it is rising and makes them all a bunch of liars and spindoctors who try to use climate change as ambiguous.

  • @CrisKG125 People are calling it climate change now because Republicans think Global Warming means everywhere on Earth will become warmer. Yes the average temperature will rise but some area will cool will others warm. Thus we give it a more general name of climate change so the republicans arent confused because Zeus knows they don't know shit

  • He learned to potty at 18 months and he's the nicest boy.

  • why are you talking about all the instances with the iranian government what the hell is this crap! come on cenk report the global news that affects everybody in the united states

  • @05candyman i meant to say aren't

  • @Stevie68000 Stevie you really have a hard on for Jews. Is it their foreskinless schlongs or the super kinky banging through a hole in a sheet sex romps that does it for you.

  • @Niriop do u even know what facts r? The only hogwash is huntsman,

  • I don't have much love for Mr. Huntsman, but it's nice to hear a politician from either party admit that they know little to nothing about science.

  • I don't know, I still would vote for Huntsman over Obama, Huntsman said during a debate that he would ensure that no bank was too big to fail

  • (Human spurred) Climate Change = Hogwash

  • @bgrim2008 how do you explain the greenhouse effect?

  • These just seems to show that Huntsman doesn't have full control over his campaign: his staff are clearly pushing hard for him to take the politically expedient option of expression doubt over climate change (which many Americans, especially conservatives, tend to do), but Huntsman has clearly sided with reason and science. That's why he has no chance of winning the Republican nomination...facts are not welcomed there.

  • PEOPLE STOP RESPONDING TO CHRISTIANMISSION!! He is a troll of the most irksome type, he hates the channel so much that he feels compelled to spend hours a day saying how me hates it and then getting into stupid arguments with other commentors, hoping he can "change someones mind/soul/ whatever. DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS!!

  • American clown-rightp oliticians lagging behind, nothing new here.

    .

They probably think the earth is flat and would gladly execute Galileo for his scientific denial of a geocentric universe.

Anything for mythology, anything for ignorance! Money to the Great Rulers!

  • funny how these idiot republicans believe the fantasy of religion, but dont believe in science. gop douche brains.

  • The first part of his statement was right, actually. That's the rational approach. There's no logical reason to trust other's interpretation of scientific data. Before we form any opinions or make any assumptions we should all review and understand the data ourselves to come to a conclusion. However, this is a clear ploy for him to seem more right wing and get more support

  • See people! Huntsman is just as much an unreliable fucktard as Ron Paul. Moderate choices my fucking arse...

  • What the fuck is wrong with Republicans? They weren't always this fucking stupid.

  • I hope Huntsman isn't dizzy after that 360.

  • Seriously this new youtube format sucks...

  • @jallison79 Yea, you can't watch through videos on people pages anymore. It takes you to the video itself. :/

  • @jallison79 One thing I dislike is how it doesn't show the full title of the video when you roll the mouse over it. Probably just a way to get more money at the expense of viewer satisfaction. If people can't be sure what the video is they will have to click on it to find out and probably view some commercials before actually seeing the video or while seeing the title.

  • Some CO2 emission reforms can hamper the economy. Not much point doing it unless it's going to work:

If the US doesn't do co2 emission reforms - US economy is not hampered, but global warming continues.

If ONLY the US does co2 emission reforms - US economy suffers AND global warming continues.

If all the major powers do co2 emission reforms together - US economy is not hampered (level playing-field), global warming reduced.

  • Look, I'm a physicist and climate change is pretty widely accepted amongst scientists. The way science works, it's peer reviewed so you will ALWAYS have people questioning something... doesn't mean it's not currently the accepted theory. Take dark matter, there are people who are trying to work around the existence of dark matter with other theories like MOND... but most scientists have relented to the fact that there is lots of evidence for it even though we don't quite yet know what it is.

  • Seriously, there was that one guy on YT who, I think, had a very good point about the climate change: whether it's true or not, shouldn't we prepare for it just in case?

Also, pretty much every single industrialized country except USA is ready to at least try and limit their emissions.... Even China and Russia are ready to do it: but only if USA does too. The problem: USA still doesn't give a shit, Obama or no Obama, and thus China and Russia don't want to play nice either.

  • @TheYoungTurks shows that America is all about murder when they celebrate someone's death

  • @Clanki Awww you're confused again.

  • @nilbud Hey they danced in the streets over the death of Osama.

They celebrated in one video when a senator mentioned a woman who died because she did not have insurance, they celebrated when an innocent man was executed, they celebrate OFTEN over someone's death.

I dare you to prove me wrong.

When you see a video of THOUSANDS celebrating others deaths.

You can not deny my claim.

  • campaigning for 2016? reminds me of this quote.

"Anybody that wants the presidency so much that he'll spend two years organising and campaigning for it is not to be trusted with the office. -- David Broder"

  • @TheYoungTurks Ignorant people are republicans. End of story.

  • Huntsman is the only reasonable candidate and now you're attacking him? SMFH TYT....

  • @MrHav1k he was resonable for a while, but he seems to be buckling on some of the positions that some feel made him resonable.

It seems like he want to take the political position that climate change is not real, while still believing that it is real.

Regardless of what you believe about climate change, this is an unresonable position to have.

  • got in trouble for.........being in favor of science... LOL

  • All this proves to me is that we need to get moneu out of politics.

  • I believe in global warming. I just dont think that we should do shit about it.

Simply stop rebuilding the places that are in bad location. New Orleans should be closed. As for the poor nation that will be flooded, though luck.

  • @DickCheneyXX wtf?? have you lost your senses? Go play with the teatards and leave the sane people alone...

  • @fizXgirl314 I haven't and I don't like Christians.

Whats wrong with my plan? Any fossil fuel that isn't burned in the West will be burned somewhere else.

  • The camera is focused on the background wall.

  • Ron Paul never said someone should die. That was the moderator. Ron Paul said society should NOT let the guy die. :(

  • @chrlpolk But if he gets his way with healthcare the guy probably would die.

  • @Mordicay1849 If you don't put cameras in people's homes, child abuse will probably continue.

If society, meaning we individually, would step up and act morally, we wouldn't need the government's guns to force morality upon us. Either we are a moral people, or we aren't, and using government to force moral decisions does not equate to morality.
