  • Here it is..the first day of autumn.Got pictures developed from this past summer...it was a great one. This seems like an appropriate song for today :(

  • Jeremy was also on the staff of Keeping Up Appearances.

  • And all without a speck of AUTOTUNE, kids!

  • way too much bass.

  • I loved these guys back in the day. So glad they're still doing well and sounding so good.

  • Also, most dont realize that Jeremy's acting was brilliant in the well done British mini Series "The Mixer". He has many skills

  • Two voices, two guitars....and sheer wonder. How many of today's performers could accomplish so much without layers over vocal enhancement, overdubbed instruments, and quite possibly a "canned band" besides? Does anyone out there care to guess why Britney Spears will sound like in 45 years? But these guys have still got it.

  • Amen to all that. Heaven for me is going to be filled with this awesome music with which I grew up - never ceases to take me back and make me smile. Occasionally it brings tears, but not of sadness.

  • Now, that was GREAT

  • brownindian17 I put this to an old 8mm movie of my mom that I had transferred to video tape, I too get the same feeling as my dad died when I was and she raised me. She died Dec 16, 1982, never a day goes by I don't miss her.

  • "Soft kisses on a summer day" makes me smile, and makes my heart hurt too, for days gone by.

  • STEWART CHADWICK ,,,AKA "CHAD"came from my home town of west hartlepool,i used to knock on his parents door +get pics off his mam ,,,she used to laff so much every time i went ,i couldnt believe a "MONKEY HANGER"coould be famous ,they were in the original batman series also ,the days when talent gave everyone a chance at stardom ,regardless of where ever you were from ,,,,now youve got to live in a flat in london paid for by management and do whatever they order you to ,,,,,,,sad sodz ,,,,X

  • This song I love but makes me very sad. I think of my Mom who died Sept 14, 1981.

  • this is the amazing things of this musical era (50s and 60s)... they could really sing live and even after all these years they sound wonderful. Thank you for the posting ;)

  • immortal song.. thanks lot guys

  • After all there years.... they still GOT it. Thanks so much for posting.

  • My favorite song of all time. I never tire of hearing it. Gorgeous harmony and so introspective. Those guys still sound great. I wonder if they know how much joy they have given to some people. What a legacy they have given to the world.

  • Great job......I also found this one as a summer song.....

    Mo'Sean "Give you my soul".......

  • GOD, this song brings back so many wonderful memories!

  • they look like they use CF martins. Gotta love em.

  • Amazing to hear them sing this song so clearly after so many years!!

  • They're quite endearing really. I liked Jeremy Clyde a lot as an actor.

  • does anybod have lyrics??

  • they sound as great as ever!!! love this, thank you so much for sharing!!!

  • wow..i adore them...=0]..

  • "They say that all good things must end someday..." but it is not that day yet for this song. I love the sound, the poetry, the feel. Thank you.

  • Absolutely awesome! They sound as wonderful as ever....this is such a lovely song. MANY thanks for sharing this delightful footage with us!!! :)

  • i think they were the top beginning of duo that later followed by the everly brothers, simon and garfunkel, john oates and r cooley among many others. And were are the duos now...gone? am sad.

  • Thanks for posting. And thanks to Batman and Robin for saving their asses.

  • Really amazing song even after so many years...great!

  • I am truly amazed that they can sing this song so well after all these years and there advanced ages. Wow! It sounded just like the original recording from 1965--wow, again. I am greatly impressed and moved by these two gentlemen's talent with a big "T".

  • Great song, Transition music from Folk to Rock. Not much like this anymore--too bad too.

Thanks for posting. Peter and Gordon, Simon and Grafunkel, and Chad and Jeremy. What great music they did!

  • i think this song was written by my ex landlady's father... i might be wrong though

  • Ark and Cabbages and Kings are still one the most interesting and diverse albums of the last 40 years. Forgotten gems worth getting

  • Ahhh, thanks for reminding me of those great albums - I had 'em.

  • Dang! I finally noticed Jeremy is actually playing a Db instead of a C#m in the bridge! But, jeez, they're still Sooo smooth!

  • A great song...and a wonderful rendition by the two who made it happen, some 42 years later!

  • These guys sound as good as they did back in '64

  • Again, my era, my songs. They will live forever! Doo wop & the 60's....

  • Good song. Chad and Jeremy are mirror images of Peter and Gordon during the folksy British Invasion music period. Both were equally great acts. Influences had to begin with The Everly Brothers who were liked by the Fab Four.

  • More talented than Peter & Gordon and aging much better on stage as well.

  • who is playing the base?

  • There is no bass, just the two acoustic guitars. I would imagine that Chad's guitar is tweaked toward the low end, since he's playing the lead, so I imagine that what you thinking is the bass is simply him hitting notes on the 5th and 6th strings.

  • Yes, there was a guy playing bass. You can see him at the end of the clip.

  • I just watched a video of some of their contemporaries performing a few years ago, and it was too painful to finish, but this did justice to the original, which has been a favorite of mine for decades.

  • One of the great songs of the '60's--bravo!

  • What a beautiful song...so peaceful!!!!!!

  • magandang kanta. may Tagalog translation nito si Joey de Leon kaya lng di ko maintindihan ang ibig sabihin sa Tagalog

  • What a song. What makes a song timeless? Whatever it is, this song has it. I have such memories of this song!

  • This 60-year-old guy is greatly indebted to you for allowing me to touch my youthful past once more. The memories are overwhelming.

  • Yes,what a wonderful era to grow up in.

  • love your page and your choice off songs summer holiday has always put a smile on my face thank you jim

  • This is very weird, they sound exactly like they did back then. You just entered into the Twilight Zone.

  • This is just so fine--thanks!

  • They are pretty freakin' unbelievable...

  • Enjoyed them so much recently at the Northwest Folk Alliance in Memphis. Nice guitar work too.

  • This is awesome! Sounding just as good as they did in the 60's. Beautiful!

  • There voices are nearly the same as they were fourty + years ago.

Great song. The theme is sad but true.

    Excellent!

  • ..all the leaves must fall....wish you didn't have to go.........

  • How does it get better than this? A summer song? Everything must end some day. I would like this played at my funeral. I want to live forever and forever should be a summer day while this song is played.

  • Thanks for posting, mickts!!..these guys sound good and I like the bass back-up too!

  • love this. love it , love it.

This to me is GREAT folk music at it's very best. Highest folk scores possible⁄ A true folk classic!! What a priceless video.
