I'm curious...your glove sends signals to the hand. Could the signals get interpreted into something like a keyboard? IE: you could use the gloves like a keyboard by it interpreting where your fingers are as if you're typing on a keyboard, and take those positon signals to send the proper key to the input on a device? Just seems like you're a step away from a virtual keyboard system there. Really awesome!
I want to do smething like this but i want to work with El wire Lights and music for dancers. Now my Questin . How can i work with Wireless , I need to know how is the code (Sketch) for wireless?
Your work is amazing i like it , respect fr this work !
Would you give me the schematics, on how you made the hand. I'm making exactly something like that for my final school project. How long tooke it to make it?
@JoranMullebrouck Well it didnt take long to make it maybe about a week to put everything together, but i had to learn everything (code, circuits and how to make everything) and that took about a year haha. I learned a lot though and feel a lot more confident going into projects now. If you google wireless animatronic hand it will come up with a few link like intructables of how to make everything and all the code and everything :)
It is really cool, but would be much cooler if you tidy up the entire set-up. The cut plastic and long fishline really detracts from the robotic beauty! Imagine how it would look with aluminum fingers and the finished electric board to rid yourself of those wires!
@bobofoshoful I'm glad people can find me like that :) I'm also glad to say that other bigger things than popular mechanics have came way already. Should be posting a video in a month or so that will change a lot of things ;)
@TheNatsu1991 Hey thank you! i am not sure how long this took me, i started about 10 months before the finished product but a lot of that time was learning. I spent about 300 for everything
hey its a really nice project..even i want to make a similar project for my technical exhibition..can u help me with the design and programming part of the project..please do help..my email id is ketulsheth2@gmail.com..
@dfireheart so for science fair i tested the accuracy of this compared to a human hand. i did video analysis to measure this. and yes i did do very well! i made history for the school i attend. i came in 3rd overall at state but all of the other people that placed were seniors as i am a freshman. i also moved onto the international fair where i just got back
@HalfFullEffects Cool, I'm also looking for a science fair project and i like this one but i don't want to copy it so i wanting to modify it. Make it more accreted maybe stronger servos. But good job.
@HalfFullEffects well, I would post it in Arduino.cc, Instructables, maybe tweet it with #arduino hashtag and if you use facebook, maybe put up some pictures and links on your profile. Also, there probably is somekind of facebook group for arduino and other electronics. You can also post pictures of it on Flickr (if you have a gallery there), and videos of it on Vimeo. That should give you a few more views and interested people :)
Hey how long did it take you approximately for all the control and programming?
