I was young when Clive Anderson was first on, so I didn't really realise who harsh he was! Bloody hell! Maybe he was just giving them a taste of their own medicine, but I don't remember The Mary Whitehouse Experience being overly critical of people either. Most of what I remember were just characters and jokes about random stuff. Maybe I'm wrong.
