So glad people are still going back to Renbourn.

I consider myself very lucky that my guitar teacher realised this kind of thing was for me - and recorded several tapes of Renbour/Jansch and others. That was 23 years ago...

A great attempt at a clearly difficult piece,although I do think that one of Renbourne's great contributions was showing just how good renaissance and baroque styles sound on steel-strung.-Possibly because of the enhanced sustain of the trebles?

Renbourn himself was loth to play any of the tunes live from this album because of their difficulty, so top marks for generally a superb rendition. JB is my all time favourite steel string player and his finest hour for me is My Dear Boy from the Sir John Alot lp. Awesome!

omg man that was amazing.. i can play this song so i know how hard it is and on classical??? its REALLY hard. so that was incredible. why not play it on steel string though?? u would play it perfect then..and that song is made for steel string.

After 40 years of glorious guitar playing I'm wondering why John Renbourn isn't a household name. The only answer I can come up with is that he probably doesn't want to be. Which is probably why the playing's so glorious. Thanks John.
