  • What is up with these homo updates?

  • I don´t think they are understimated, everyone that have heard any of their song know how good they are

  • Music like this makes me feel happy. :D

  • I'd really like to form a band like this but everyone at my school wants to play fucking deathcore. It's pretty frustrating :/

Anyway, the live version of this is better imo

  • @SomethingWild9608 What instrument do you play?

  • @amilisom Mainly guitar. I play a few others as well but by no means should I be considered a multi-instrumentalist lol

  • geil, erinnert mich an thunderclub newman ???

  • If you like this one, you probably like Flower Kings as well. Extremely similar in style (might be because of Roine Stolt :))..

  • Brilliant music. I wish this could be the soundtrack to my life!

  • Lol the lyrics remind exactly of my best friend. The lyrics describe his life almost perfectly. O.o

  • amazing song about growing up. never forget about your childhood.

  • you really feel like you going on a journey listening to this song. Prog rules!!!

  • Morse Rules.

  • In music class a few days ago we were looking at music geanras of the 70's, On prog it said "A music style influenced by classical music at an intellectual standard, to be taken as a form of art" people knew that I know the most on prog, they looked at me, grinned and smiled. I love music!!!

  • it sounds so fuckin' excellent!!!

  • I can hear some Camel influences mainly in the instrumental part around minute 5

  • My new World.!!!!!

  • I will love this music till the day i die:P

Prog rock's,we know that this is music at the highest level :)

  • See this band !!! "The Whirlwind" is almost a spiritual experience in itself and something that shouldn't be missed.

  • epic is not enough to describe how good this is...

  • @blackbloodyalex

    ey - kennste die Robbe?

    aber agreed

  • hey i just realised that there at high voltage fest this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's them and marillion that are the main bands at the prog stage =D ... lol them and focus :L

  • "...but then the country called for a soldier, and he went off to foreign land..." That's how countries "call for soldiers" nowadays.. Nice song though.

  • Good band, Don't they have a guy from dream theatrre with them???

  • They have Mike Portnoy, the drummer of Dream Theater

  • Thats the one

  • @MrMelick

Which he is no longer the drummer for dream theater

  • I have Bridge Across Forever and now Whirlwind - I guess it's about time I get this one. Whirlwind is absolutely fantastic!!!

  • this is from 2001..

  • This music is extremely strange...in a good way, first time I'm hearing it.

  • What you mean like pushing years of rap out of your head?

  • Ok guys, get ready! The new album has been announced! The Whirlwind, containing the title track, 4 other songs and 4 covers. The catch? The title track is 77 minutes long!!!

  • I can't wait!

  • Yes and the music sounds, like it took a half lifetime of 4 great musicians to be born

  • That cover looks like it took a 15 year old about 10 minutes to make in bryce

  • Okay. If it's that easy, please post a video of yourself making one similar.

  • GREAT!

  • I don´t know why many people criticise Neal for talking about Jesus , and praise Yes ( the second best progressive band) and jon anderson when he talks about new ages and wicca issues. .

  • PRISMA SIX - Time travel

    check it out !

  • Too bad there will not be a third album, since Neal Morse went and started his christian career, which is also very good progressive music, much more mentioning of God though. (For those who wouldn't like that)

    One can hope though, right?

  • Your prayers have been answered. They're joining up for another ride! Announced on 04.16.09.

  • yep! they are releasing a new one.

  • Yay! A new Transatlantic record. I should get the first two as well.

  • This one is from 1999, it IS the first one.

  • I never said that this wasn't the first one, all I said was I should get this one and the 2nd one, plus the one that's coming out at the end of this year

  • 5:46 why i love portnoy

  • everyone knows Genesis..^^

  • Great music!!!

    Fantastic progressive metal!!!

I've just embed this video in to my blog: ELEMENTO MUSICAL

  • this is no progressive metal

    this progressive rock

  • I need to buy some of their stuff soon.

  • i am argentinian my name is cesar is beatifull music esto es re copado poderoso genial de otro planeta

  • I like the alternate version better. But still, fans old prog like Yes, Genesis etc. get your head out of your asses, Roine Stolt and Neal Morse have made tons of great music. Get out there and dig.

  • i cant believe i never heard of neal morse until a friend turned me on to spocks beard.I am excited about music again . Jubilation is the only word i can think of to explain how i feel right now , a kid on christmas morning this is fantastic stuff

  • wow im surprised, ive always looked down apon modern music but after hearing this its like whaaaa??????? this has got such a yes/genesis sound its rediculas! awesome band!

  • Try Lime wire.

Also search for Sola Scriptura , from neal morse the vocalist of transatlantic with Prtnoy . I have this album and it is fantastic!

  • What's so great about these guys is that they combine all the great prog rock bands into their sound. You hear alittle Rush, Genesis, Yes, Gentle Giant, and Emerson Lake and Palmer in this song. Love this band!

  • Very well pointed!

  • Prog-Rock should not be underestimated.. those guys rock!

  • one of the best prog music ever written

  • This version is still pretty cool. If I had heard it 1st it wld of grown on me as I am an avid Beard fan 2nd to the masters of which their drummer is on this for all of us to sit in flabergation. The live version grew on me at 1st listen. In short, it came together, this supergroup, by chance thru circumstances and timing. Lucky for us, because we have the patience and hearing dexterity to want to hear something with a higher degree of dificulty other than what most radio shove down our ears.

  • Nah, Porcupine Tree and Dream Theater are pretty fucking rich too. I a perfect world Neal Morse would sell twice as much as them though.

  • Wow, don't see how this post deserves seven thumbs down. Guess you guys have your thumbs up your asses or something.

ANYWAYS, I heard their new album yesterday. Its pretty damned good.

  • I hate the fact, that stupid rapers and dj's earn more money from making music than genies like these and most of other prog-musicians ;(

  • yes it's true

  • That's true and I'm so sas about this.

  • I know, all those damn rapers do is rape. Rapists don't deserve to make money.

  • @SzatanskiPoganin Me too, thats what ignorance makes, sadly there are more of them.. =/

  • @SzatanskiPoganin It's because not all people like to use brains when they listen to music, so in that case a dj matches them better

  • @SzatanskiPoganin lol rapers , genies but i completely agree with u nowadays mainstream music is complete crap

  • @SzatanskiPoganin It's because they do it for money. They claim it's for the music, but has their music always entailed? Marketing and money.

Economic stability is irrelevant to a real musician who only wants their perception of music to be heard and enjoyed as they enjoy it.

"to be taken as a form of art", as posted before me, pretty much sums it up.

So really, money means nothing. Those who measure their worth by it are too common, and it's quite depressing.

  • @SzatanskiPoganin You right because two of the only prog bands that get lots of money are Opeth and Dream Theater. It's sad how many prog bands don't get enough money. ='(

  • @SzatanskiPoganin It's the same as Mcdonalds makes more money than places that have actual delicious burgers...

  • @DuartChannel

Because its shitty cheap and easily reproduced?

  • @SzatanskiPoganin Shut up. You can't even spell "rappers" and know nothing of hip-hop. You're an idiot.

  • @teethofghosts He has 60 likes on his comment. What do you have?

  • @amilisom So? Retarded comments constantly get thumbs up, that doesn't give them validation. What ass-backward logic do YOU use?

  • @SzatanskiPoganin

These musicians really love what they do though... that's what really matters, no?

  • @SzatanskiPoganin Wait, you can make succesful careers out of having sex without consent and by hiding in lamps and granting people wishes? Why wasn't I told about this??

  • @Arachnidius /sarcasm

  • make another album please!

  • Hmm...I like the live version way better...there are more emotions you can actually hear.

  • Hell yeah!

  • Progressive rock at some of it's finest.
