God the acting and camera work in this movie sucks. The voices don't even seem to match the lips. This film isn't that great. I see the original Dawn of the Dead in the suggestions, thats my que to leave. See ya.
@ZkillerZpictures It's a cheese-fest but a very creepy, incredible effects filled cheese fest, thats part of it's charm, Cheese=humor;) I love the music too. If You want better acting definitely 1978 Dawn of the Dead. Zombie is one of my favorite Zombie movies ever, eat a big Rare steak while watching this movie and You'll appreciate it more!
the music creeped me out the most when i was a kid, along with the eye gouging scene. this movie got me hooked for life on old school italian horror flicks, especially this one.
@JordansBeans Yeah. It was just Italian practice in those days since directors found it gave them more freedom with their camerawork like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
I have seen this movie but can't remember most of it I saw it maybe 1982 I was 16 ahhhhhh but it paved the way for my love of Zombies and of the weird my kids follow on and they are 24 and 22 long dead the zombie
@MzLaLaLove ikr? dawn, day, and night of the living dead were bad enough in remakes but a remake of this will completely fuck over the zombie genre. O:
Well by that, I just mean "strange". Normally you don't see the camera facing straight at the person while they have dialogue, it's usually at a slight angle. Not only that but they're looking into the camera, which suggests that the point of view(of the camera) is the person sitting across from her, but then the camera swings around...
It's hard to explain, but it's just something you don't normally see.
Good dialogue was NOT one of this movies better qualities.
"She takes after her mother,..they'r BOTH bannanas !! "
This movie is dubbed, so I understand that isn't the fault of the original filmmakers,..but still !! They realy should re-dub this flick with some better writing.
Norma Jean is effeminate screaming sissy music for people who are intimidated by the heavy metal and hardcore bands who originally invented screaming to make an actual point... sorry nothing personal but if you can prove me wrong you deserve a nobel prize
They are the musical equivalent of the acting and dialogue in this movie. without the awesome violence. haha. come on man i'm just shit-stirring for amusement's sake.
I love the over zealous hyper stylized American accent voice over dubbing typical of Italian cinema. This movie also has no major stars adding to it's quasi realism. You almost believe this is some sort of documentary and the events are true.
Like many Italian horror films of the time, half the cast spoke only English and the other half only Italian many Italian films produced for international distribution filmed without sound and recorded several dialog tracks in different languages in the studio for later overdubbing. Because the actors are speaking a number of different languages (or some are speaking a non-native language phonetically), the dubbing in all versions of the film is not 100% synchronized.
@MAKER6450, not true. DARIO ARGENTINO financed dawn of the dead. LUCIO FULCI made this film although both fulci and argentino are italian. argentino is an italian horror director that directed movies like "deep red". he loved night of the living dead and invited george romero to a meeting so they could put a story together to make a sequal for N.O.T.L.D and that is how dawn of the dead had its origins.
The autopsy scene is probably the worst example of awkward dubbing/dialogue in the entire film.
