There are so many mass murders I can think of, including the recent one in Norway, where I think if just one person had a gun, they would have been able to take the gunman out before he caused a lot of carnage.

I have family in Dunblane, and I've seen the school where it happened: my cousins go there. The whole community has really helped each other out since the murders, and believe me, even though they have pulled through and moved on, the 16 angels God gained that terrible day will never be forgotten. It is so inspirational when you hear stories of people and communities who had made the best of a tragic situation and moved on, always remembering those lost.

iv just seen a program bout this and it made me remember, i was 6 at the time but still remember it being on the news and my mum and dad finding it so upsetting.
so sad, although ten at the time, remember the day as if it was yesterday, i experienced death for the first time that same week when my grandpa died, home on a school lunch the news was on and this had happened, I couldn't believe it then and struggle to now. I light a candle every year on that day and remember those who lost their life. RIP little angels xxx

Relative Badger- God allows these acts, but He does not condone them in any way. We all have a choice in life. I help sometimes in a primary school, I can't understand how anyone can hurt a child. May the victims rest in peace, the dead and also the living. Almost 15 years ago, but I still say a prayer for them all.
Mick North, Father of Sophie, who was killed in this tradgedy, must be one of the strongest people out there. About a year or so prior to this, he lost his beloved wife to Cancer and then his daughter is killed, I can't believe how strong he is. R.I.P to all 15 of them and their teacher.

I remember watching this tragedy unfold live on television, parents running around frantic and hoping and praying that reports were inaccurate. Sadly not. If he had driven through the school with a truck and killed 40 or 50 students, would everyone have called for banning autos and trucks? Of course not. Relative Badger- God allows these acts, but He does not condone them in any way. We all have a choice in life. I help sometimes in a primary school, I can't understand how anyone can hurt a child. May the victims rest in peace, the dead and also the living. Almost 15 years ago, but I still say a prayer for them all.

Mick North, Father of Sophie, who was killed in this tradgedy, must be one of the strongest people out there. About a year or so prior to this, he lost his beloved wife to Cancer and then his daughter is killed, I can't believe how strong he is. R.I.P to all 15 of them and their teacher.

I can remember this happening as if it were yesterday. Absolutely tragic. I remember watching this tragedy unfold live on television, parents running around frantic and hoping and praying that reports were inaccurate. Sadly not. My thoughts are often with the family and friends of the victims and not jus those who were killed, also the survivors and the trauma, etc which they have had to live with since. God Bless them all.

Hamilton is mentioned as being known to have been mentally ill previously, connected to a Lord who helped gett him a gun permit though he was well known as a possible pedophile by police and mentally unstable which begs the question what drugs was he on to do such a horrible thing. I live in dunblane and we still think about those poor little angels. My friends brother was injured and my 2 of my other friends lost their sisters. I was also fooled for 15yrs untill I stumbled across 1 of the MANY websites that listed the 60 or so smoking guns, listened to Martin speaking to the negotiaters and it hit me like a train. He was set up beyond doubt to disarm us. 2 Politicians both let it slip that there WAS going to be a massacre and then you look at the preparation they had in place. Never know what will happen and (eventhough these situations are not very common) they could also get involved in an accedent. (hopefully nót) but indeed make the time! If something happens you'll regret it for the rest of your life if you didn't..... What a sad horrific situation, imagine the fear of those angels... :-(

they would have been 19-20 now, with their lifes starting to fall into place, yet they never had a chance to live, their full life should have been ahead of them, that monster deserves to be brought to the blink of death, to where he is begging for death , to where death is less painfull than liveing , to be showed some of the pain he caused, to make him feel some of the grief he has caused.

13 march 1996 - The day Dunblane changed forever and still quietly the memory of that day rings on on peoples minds 14 years later.
I live near Dunblane and a friend of mine daughter was in that class but she had taken that day off.

What a horrible needless tragedy. I feel miserable for every family member and loved one of each person who was killed by that deranged person. What I don't understand is why everyone called for banning guns after this tragedy. If he had driven through the school with a truck and killed 40 or 50 students, would everyone have called for banning autos and trucks? Of course not. The truck (as the gun) is an inanimate object without thoughts, feelings or motives. The person is at fault.
