I don't know who did this review but it sounds to me this guy, whoever it is has no clue of the real Hector Lavoe life as an entreteiner which what more latinos were expecting of the movie than the existency of Puchi, for this reason many latinos are not happy at all with this movie,so what do we talking here in this review about the movie itself or about the movie about Hector Perez and his legacy; if this was the intention of Antony and Lopez then the failed 100% on us.

@mirandoful I can understand where you're coming from, but I did review the movie itself. What I said is what the movie portrayed, and if you were looking for a movie about his Legacy, yes... I would say it did fail you because even though I didn't know much about Hector Lavoe, this movie doesn't paint the best picture about him and his life.

What I didn't like was that his true legacy was not captured like it says it was mostly Poocies story. Willie Colon was pissed at the end result, because they hired him as a consultant, and did not use anything he tried to contribute. They made it too much about his drug use, and not his music! ;-() She was the reason for his spiral as well as his introduction to drugs which is the real reason why he's gone now!

yes a legend to all that knew him and his incredible salsa music that still lives on -- for Marc Anthony, this was a pleasure to be able to do his life story and I mean about the music part - because the drug part was something that only hector, knew what was really hurting him not only he lost his mother at a early childhood age, but also lost his only Son that shoot himself!
