Ok, I have witnessed this a lot recently while watching live or acoustic versions of songs. With older fashioned, awesome bands, like seether, evanescence... The live versions, the singin sounds no different to the recorded, but with now days pop singers, which are trashy and everyone is all over, listen to the live versions. The recorded ones are so much more edited. I'm 13 and I notice this. Thumbs up if you agree that we need rock to become more known.

@blobbymoo Pop is simply what is popular at the time. Today that is Lady Gaga, and while it may not be rock, pop in itself is not bad. MODERN pop is bad, but there was a time when Kurt Cobain was quoted as saying he was going for a pop sound. Nirvana was pop. At the time, it meant something different, it meant talent. Nowadays, maybe not, but don't denounce pop altogether. One day, it will be good again!

While that may be true, tomorrow will be a new genre of pop, and the day after a new one yet. pop in itself is not a genre of music, but a category for what's popular. It is literally short for popular. What is pop today might suck, but take solace in the fact that Nirvana will always be remembered, while today's pop will be lost in time, replaced by what will hopefully be good music by the next generation :)
