Was there for this gig and stood just below Clint Eastwood who was checking it out from his own booth...unreal. I asked Billy afterwards about the original Spectrum version of this with Tommy Bolin: "We did two takes and the one on the album is take two." Wow, where is Take ONE???????
That's Lee Sklar on Bass and Dean Brown on Guitar, in case anyone's interested. Gary is such a bad ass on the drums his own self too... Billy is a mad man. Going to see him tonight in San Francisco!! With Dean and Victor Bailey. Thanks for posting this.
Don't try this at home kids! Must have 12 when my friend's older brother put this on (72?). Viciousjbone you have my deepest regards for posting this; did you film it? Great camera angle- sends you to heaven while it nails you to the floor with the ferocity of the music.
This shows why it's so tough to do this song live! In over two dozen times seeing Cobham, I've never seen him perform "Quadrant 4" onstage. Great post!
When was this show?! I'd have paid anything to see Cobham and Sklar team up again!

This song is called "Quadrant 4" Just in case. And Bullets is going to play that song, too.
And we`re good.

That's Lee Sklar on bass who played on the album version in '73. Man, if they only would've had Jan Hammer and Tommy Bolin (impossible I know).

Wow, Sklar still doing it big time.
Brown does a good job here, but the Bolin solo is impossible to surpass. Tone and fire, Tommy is missed.

Crazy. Dean looks a bit like Weird Al Yonkovic here. It's a crazy shuffle he plays the whole song on the bass drums, man....

Glad you like my work! It was a major bitch to shoot this show! 3 other guys got their cameras taken by security. I somehow got lucky..
He hasn't toured hear since, either.
