But the most venomous snake is in dutch language: De groene boomslang ( Green threesnake??) which venom is the most dangerous, but it wouldn't attack a human unless you make it very angry. I've seen papers where people have said that snakes with round pupils are non-poisonous and poisonous snakes have elliptical pupils, but you can clearly see in this closeup that Mamba has round pupils. So I guess that rule of thumb is not correct or did I miss something. Usually people can tell by the shape of the head as well, round vs. triangular.

It is not about the venom that makes this snake so dangerous, this snake does chase people, it does go out of its way to chase people - I was very lucky to get away and not be bit. I know a handful of people who have experienced the same - they too were lucky to get away. The best known snake handlers in zimbabwe when called about a snake to be removed, if they knew it was a mamba some of them would decline to capture it - this is WIDELY true across zimbabwe

actually nuthousekid there is an anti-venom. After that first comment I looked it up. There is an anti-venom BUT....you're right when you say you would only last 15 minutes. You can google it about the anti-venom. But it is avail and HARD to come by..
I was in high school in 1983 and I saw this snake strike "Simba" my best dog. It died within 15 minutes, it was so sad and so unbelievable. I buried the dog myself. It was a black dog, the most feared around together with the other one "Major". Anybody who thinks a Black Mamba is a joke better ask me. Together with the Puff Adder that killed a relative of mine while she was harvesting sweet potatoes on her farm. They buried her within hours. Snakes are snakes. Could you tell me about anti-venom?
@mayamba65 there are anivenoms for both these snake bites, although the places these snakes live dont generally have hospitals close by. losing loved ones is tragic no matter the cause.
@licmy3balls - could you please tell me how and where i can get some really effective anti-venom? i could help my community a lot, they live with this danger and their only "solution" is to kill the snake but sometimes it is vice-versa.
@mayamba65 I know there is Black Mamba anti venom if you receive it, fast as humans are known to hang on the longest to life at about 120 minutes. I also know that if a human is passing by a Black Mamba they are known to strike 2 to 3 times just because of their aggressive nature. They are very unusual compared to most venomous snakes of the world, which give warnings and are more willing to run away from humans but this species is an exception, because of their extreme aggressiveness.
@mayamba65 I know about dr. Bush (no kidding) (and I bealive you know him to). He is the best dr. in the world (about attacking humans by spiders and snakes). He cured one man with 36 dosages anti-venom in one hour. So, anti-venom cost 600 dolars per bottle. No use! Sorry, my English is :((. I'm from Croatia.
@mayamba65 Some people consume a small amount of venom each day, eventually they build up a resistance. You'd have to check on the dosage pretty carefully!

What i think about the mambo, that is so scary is you can not tell that it is a venomous snake. you get bit and then a couple of minutes later you start to shit and piss yourself. Thats when you realize o shit that snake was poisonous. So u half to jack it before you die. Let the world smell your come.

actually nuthousekid there is an anti-venom. After that first comment I looked it up. There is an anti-venom BUT....you're right when you say you would only last 15 minutes. You can google it about the anti-venom. But it is avail and HARD to come by..

I was in high school in 1983 and I saw this snake strike "Simba" my best dog. It died within 15 minutes, it was so sad and so unbelievable. I buried the dog myself. It was a black dog, the most feared around together with the other one "Major". Anybody who thinks a Black Mamba is a joke better ask me. Together with the Puff Adder that killed a relative of mine while she was harvesting sweet potatoes on her farm. They buried her within hours. Snakes are snakes. Could you tell me about anti-venom?

@mayamba65 there are anivenoms for both these snake bites, although the places these snakes live dont generally have hospitals close by. losing loved ones is tragic no matter the cause.

@licmy3balls - could you please tell me how and where i can get some really effective anti-venom? i could help my community a lot, they live with this danger and their only "solution" is to kill the snake but sometimes it is vice-versa.

@mayamba65 I know there is Black Mamba anti venom if you receive it, fast as humans are known to hang on the longest to life at about 120 minutes. I also know that if a human is passing by a Black Mamba they are known to strike 2 to 3 times just because of their aggressive nature. They are very unusual compared to most venomous snakes of the world, which give warnings and are more willing to run away from humans but this species is an exception, because of their extreme aggressiveness.

@mayamba65 I know about dr. Bush (no kidding) (and I bealive you know him to). He is the best dr. in the world (about attacking humans by spiders and snakes). He cured one man with 36 dosages anti-venom in one hour. So, anti-venom cost 600 dolars per bottle. No use! Sorry, my English is :((. I'm from Croatia.

@mayamba65 Some people consume a small amount of venom each day, eventually they build up a resistance. You'd have to check on the dosage pretty carefully!
