I agree that this movie had a deeper meaning embedded. The way I understood it was a peaceful way of life that existed amongst a certain group of people that were obviously a very spiritual people that were not affected or had no knowledge of evil or the existence of such weapons as the people who deceived them into thinking that they were friend and not foe... a realistic look at what happened to the indians and people of "black" culture.
