I think its a huge mistake to have this operation, and an even bigger mistake and an injustice to tell all the overweight kids and people out there that this operation is a good option. Overweight people should be encouraged to eat well and exercise well, not to resort to risky surgery. People that say good diet and exercise doesn't work for them are not doing it right, most commonly because they are lazy. Everyone that takes up a good diet and exercise regime WILL lose weight, and I have proof.
Personally, I would go for it but you need to do what is in you comfort zone. Don't listen to the neysayers, listen to your heart. I think it is a wonderful opportunity to help others! No one has any right to take a piss out on you for treating a health condition. Shame on them! You seem really level headed and I think it would be a really great thing for you to do!
WOW, my opinion is YES. As long as you have final say about what is aired. I think it is a great way for you to have a record of everything you will be going through. I had my surgery 4/7/08 and I still watch the "I Lost" series on TV. If shows how people have lost weight, gastric, diets etc. It's a great opportunity for you to help thousands of people that want more info about the process. Good Luck and speedy recovery.
Hi, I'm not a post-op but I am wondering what is the purpose of them documenting the operation? Is it so they can say how fat people are getting or how lucky it is that young people have this operation available to them. I'm just wondering will there be a positive or negative tone to the documentary.
