  • DO CARALHO!!!

  • Great cover... even Jimmy Page himself approves!! :D

  • Kashmir at end!!!

  • Toxik's version is 1000x better. Only one Toxik solo will own everything. Also vocals

  • Singer/guitarist expulsed by Metallica, then he went and helped form a much better band.

  • why does it fade out at 3:00? O.o

  • @ericsimaginaryfriend because of the return with Kashmir as a surprise

  • zeppelin was a little heavy for its time, but they're also considered the roots of prog rock.

  • Toxik did a cover as well, everyone should check it out, really great cover.

  • Zeppelin version is SOOO much better..

  • @TheKassicRock Of course, I'm sure Dave would say the same. This is just his way of showing how much he loves Zeppelin.

  • @TheKassicRock Well. Your opinion doesn't matter. Jimmy loved the cover and that's what matters.

  • a heavy metal band should not be doing a cover of this song. i'm a huge fan of megadeth and always will be but Mustaine's voice just dosn't suit this song at all. the best cover i've heard of any Zeppelin song is this same song Out on the Tiles but performed by Blind Melon. Shannon Hoon's vocals are perfect for this song

  • @JustinTheHatter Led Zeppelin is heavy metal.... nevertheless, I agree Dave's voice is quite..... well... horrendous in this song.... some covers are great, but he sounds too naggy in the chorus

  • @xRaiiZe lmao, Led Zep is NOT heavy metal by any definition of the genre. And if anything it's the solo that lets this down, not the vocals (which I'll admit, Dave isn't a good singer at the best of times and here he's just..... uugh.... but my god that solo sucks balls).

  • @theZoftime yes.... actually they are...

  • @xRaiiZe lol, no, they aren't dude. They are hard rock/blues rock.

  • @theZoftime In their time that was heavy metal. Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc. They were much heavier than 'classic rock' and basically started the metal genre. It obviously got heavier over time, that doesn't make them any less heavy, however.

  • @xRaiiZe No, you're right, it doesn't change the audible quality of a song, but at the same time you can't keep them in the same genre if it doesn't fit at this present time. If you were talking about this in 1978 that would be fair enough, but now you have to consider how the genre is identified with all the other different branches of rock and metal; And the different qualities that make up how we identify what style a piece of music is.

  • @theZoftime Yes, but Led Zeppelin is still heavy. Listen to them, then Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. You won't see some genre bending difference

  • @theZoftime Zeppelin is considered first wave heavy metal along with Sabbath and Deep Purple and are considered to be what the genre was originally meant to sound like. Then Judas Priest came into the picture and removed the Blues influence. Don't believe me? Research the origins of the term heavy metal and the origins of metal itself.

  • LOVE PEACE THRASH METAL

  • A few have got the guts to cover this. All have failed. Totally.

  • Dave never does like other self righteous pricks who try to remake the song "in their image" and it almost always sucks horribly to any fans of the original. Dave at least treats all of his covers with a great amount of respect for the originals. This song seems a bit outside of Daves usual musical comfort zone so kudos for him for doing it.

  • @darthmalius Not really. Led Zeppelin is one of Dave's favorite bands and Jimmy Page was one of his biggest influences when he started playing guitar. So seeing Megadeth cover a Led Zeppelin song isn't too surprising or "outside of Dave's usual musical comfort zone". Don't mean to sound like a dick or anything.

  • of course, DM can't sing but still a good cover otherwise.

  • christophanus thinks the original by Zeppelin was "alright". It is much better than alright. It is heavy as hell and better than this version, true. This is a cool version.

  • Awesome cover!!!! Great job Dave!

  • i prefer rather this one than the original...the sounds of the original suck the balls that this song has! :D

  • this is a pretty nice cover as well, megadoith delivers

  • great.great,great

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT!.... unsoulful bullshit crappy cover.... cant believe they had the nerve to fuck up an alright song by one of the greatest most soulful bands ever, LED ZEPPELIN............. but seriously this cover makes me sick

  • @Christophanus Dude chill your nuts

  • @Christophanus Dude jimmy page himself told megadeth he loved their cover. If Led Zeppelin likes this cover it's good hahaha

  • @ThisIsEndgame well if thats true, i have lost alot of respect for jimmy page.... cause this cover is SHIT, its just so cheesy and lame.... and im not gonna think its cool just cause page says it is...... btw dont get me wrong i love page, im a massive fan

  • @Christophanus You say that cause you probably don't even listen to metal. it is in no way shape or form a cheesy cover. it's the same song just played with different tone and distortion. if you think the cover is cheesy then the actual song must be cheesy to you as well. Dave mustaine of megadeth has more respect for jimmy page then you thats a promise.

  • @Christophanus Yeah lose respect for a man cause he has a different opinion than you. That's not self centered at all.

  • @Christophanus dude, jimmy page would be so dissapointed of you....

  • and sorry, the Blind Melon cover sucks!!!

  • like the Kashmir lick near the end, epic cover

  • This is a pretty good cover next to Toxik's version

  • Quote from the book "Mustaine" "There was a pot dealer who lived up the street and he introduced us(His band at the time) to a variety of good stuff: John Winter, Lake and Palmer, Triumverate, and of course, Led Zeppelin. I mean if you played guitar you wanted to be Jimmy Page right? And if you sang in Rock n roll you wanted to be Robert Plant. Everyone was trying to learn Stairway To Heaven..."

  • @MrLizardKing96 If dave mustaine is guitar god and he is trying to learn stairway to heaven then jimmy page must be the universe

  • @SPACEtimeContinumumb fuck yes!

  • this cover sounds alot like something im not (but its kinda different) . maybe dave got inspiration from the original.

  • You fools should listen to Blind Melons cover of this song. One million times better...

  • @repdale

i listened to blind melon`s cover but i still prefer the megadeth-version

  • Does the song fade out and back in on the actual song at 3.15 or is that an error?

  • Sorry all, I'm a fan of both.

Compared to LZ this just doesn't cut it.

  • why?

    its so funny!

  • i prefer toxik's version, but nothing beats the original.

  • Pretty disappointed with this. Mustaine has the ability to go fucking nuts on the vocals here but holds back. Too tame for my liking

  • shit, didnt knew that was a cover o.O

  • sucks

  • @LucaCava94 yes you suck now go suck some more your a turd

  • @1961pontiac I'm afraid I hurted your little heart

  • I'm big Zeppelin fan, and i say it's really good :D Dave knows what good music is!

  • me likie

  • Quit kissing Zeppelin's ass and admit that this is a good cover, people.

  • this sucks

  • @yahoopl3 finally somebody who understands!

  • Toxik's is a bit better but this is still awesome

  • blind melons is better but MEGADETH IS THE SHIT

  • LZ version is much better.

  • i prefer the Zep'version but it's cool

  • Meh. I like Toxik's cover of this better because the singer is waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Mustaine. Hearing Mustaine sing this is just weird.

  • (?

  • music sounds almost identical to 'Burnt Ice'

  • @1846alexander what???

  • well now, this is fine, isn't it?. throw in a little kashmir at the end ... yes,i can dig it

  • @JohnAllanification that actually worked out way better than I thought it was going to after seeing your comment and not getting to the end of the song yet.....lol. I was getting ready to cringe.

  • @apocolypticchrist it's that way for me sometime's,too. i have to believe that hammett&hetfield experience same. no sweat, brother.

  • im sorry but the words do not fit this guys voice!!!! the band did a great job but the lz version on lz3 was much better!!!!!!

  • @fatalerror482 Thank you for saying always. So many people hate the cover of Paranoid, but I think it's amazing. The Blind Melon version of Out on the Tiles is amazing too.

  • gotta love that little bit of kashmir at the end!!!

  • wish dave this cover when he still had a voice

  • @TheDanny5634 what do you mean? his vocals sound great on this cover!

  • Love the final medley

  • One of my fav Zep tunes, always thought it would be a good tune to metalize. Thanks Dave! By the way, to UKLendUK, hang on to that copy of Physical Graffitti, it will be a collectors item. Mine doesn't have "Out on the Tiles" on it. I only have it on Zeppelin III.

  • Stupid name Stupid music ok cover but still this is my opinion I don't like this

  • @TheDrummerboy1999 Wow what a fag.

  • @TheDrummerboy1999 dumb ass

  • Where can I find this? I want this song soooo bad! Out on the tiles: Great song by Led Zep. Kashmir: Epic song from Led Zep. This cover: Great cover from an epic band: MEGADETH

  • Where can I find this? I want this song soooo bad!

  • I can see the producer "Dave you need to sing this in a different key and give me some pep". Dave says "No way man our lord and savior said keep it metal, I don't care what this song is about!"

  • try version performed by band TOXIK

  • @karaczurin it's better toxik version :D

  • I'm glad Megadeth brought attention to this underrated classic. I must admit I didn't realize how great this song was until they covered it.

  • I didn't think this would work... but holy shit it does...

  • Great cover

  • led zeppelin is better but nice cover its metal!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love it when two of my favourite bands combine musical energy :D

  • Sabbath would have been a better choice

I always though Dave would do megalomania great

  • Love megadeth, but not as much as Zep of course.

This is an ok cover but makes me want to hear the original. Plant's vocals,... well,... you know...

I wish Dave had sung this in a higher pitch I would like it better. I know he can still do it. RP is uncomparable tho.

  • The music is awesome...but who's strangling a cat....I mean trying to sing? LOL

His style may be ok for his genre....but it didn't work out so well on this one.... XD

  • this isnt that bad actually

  • autotune? just me maybe?

  • poor :(

  • I've never liked Megadeth but that's really cool how they used the guitar precussively with the drums for that little ... I don't know what the technical term is ... I guess they would call them triplet fills like from :11 to :13. That's very unique - not something I would have thought of.

  • Toxik's cover is the best one, in my opinion.

  • Singing doesn't work for me, but I love the guitars.

  • The 1980's called...they want their guitar tone back.

  • @thecrikster Knowing that Megadeth was formed in 1985, and had the inspiration such as Maiden/Motorhead/Zeppelin and used the tones but played in better qualities throughout the years of playing. yeah how do you sound?

  • I don't normally like Megadeth, but this is an awesome cover.

  • MEGADETH LOVE SONG? THIS ROCKS /JIZZ IN MY PANTS*

LED ZEPPLIN + DAVE EQUALS SEXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • this shit is cool.Fuck tha haters.

  • Megadeth is a Great Band, but...

  • is Bonham drum track?

  • check out the BLind Melon version. its better in my opinion at leat the vocals are

  • Original>Toxic's cover> Megadeth's cover.

    They are all amazing though.

  • This Kicksass and so does the original so all others shut the fuck up!

  • This sucks - bring on Zeppelin.

  • Nice recognition of the utter badassness of the original riff and drum line.

  • I don't know, Megadeth with Led Zeppelin, is not a good combination, i don't like

  • I never noticed the 5 seconds of Kashmir at the end

  • What the heck....................I'm speechless.

  • Mustaine said that LEd Zeppelin is his favorite band

  • This way it is since songs are destroyed. Thank you for fucking the song, Megashit

  • @Luisaviola18 destroying a song is when slayer covered "inagaddadavida"

    this actually isn't that bad

  • i love led zeppelin and megadeth out of the tiles has never been my favorite zep song but i like this version sure its completely different then what they usualy play but its obviously a tribute to led zeppelin on many ocassions dave mustain said that his biggest influence was led zeppelin so ya take it as it is

  • @sysrq120

go tell dream theater that they're limited.

    idiot.

  • @sysrq120 Try telling that to Black Sabbath you pusscake!

  • what the fuck, thanks for DESTROYING a beautiful song -___-

  • @davecolombia u mean improving an already awesome song right? thought so.

  • @Saiyankid109 Uh, let's not go overboard with the accolades, Megabreath. This version isn't as good as Zeppelin's and is in no way an improvement to it if only for the fact that the lead singer sucks ass. I said "good job," not "great job."

  • thanks for ruining a great song

  • I clicked on this just to have a laugh and rag on it, but hey, apparently it's difficult to fuck up a good Zeppelin song. Good job! Nice touch adding Kashmir at the end too.

  • @LedLass u right man was about to say that kashmir riff as the outro, fuckin amazin!!!!!!!

  • @LedLass With a touch of moby dick too!

  • good cover, cool Zeppelin medley at the end there too, with the Whole Lotta Love solo, Moby Dick riff and Kashmir.

  • when i saw this come up i was wondering if it was the zeppelin song haha it is!

  • this is fantastic

  • to be honest i wasn't expecting him to see "all I need from u is all your love" i was kinda expecting " all i need from u is all your blood" or "all i need from u is ur soul"

  • @jakxmon People have this misconception that metal = blood and gore. Not true, brah.

  • God damnit Japan, stop being weird. Oh, and stop getting all the awesome releases of stuff. :(

  • Wow, I'm surprised how good this cover is :O Really wicked guitar riff!

  • Its crazy to see how strongly led zeppelin influenced the "extreme metals". after seeing this they were obviously a big influence to Megadeth and Megadeth went on to influence bands like the "The Black Dahlia Murder".

(If you were about to say "The Black dahlia murder is a gay deathcore band!" I strongly suggest you know what deathcore is before you start wrongly labeling bands it.)

  • Yeah led zeppelin are fucking awesome and so are megadeth!!

  • Remakes are not about how close the copier can come to playing the original like the original, its about their interpretation of the song. This is Dave putting his fingerprints on a classic Zep tune. Its something I'd recognize in a heartbeat as Megadeth. Do I like it? Ehhh, its OK.... still a fan of the original. Though the fade out/fade in ending with the Page licks is a cool homage....

  • This is cool.I never heard this cover.

  • vocals don't fit the song

  • like the little Kashmir reference at the end.

  • 1Ledzeppelin1.. what a poser

  • Awesome cover

  • I don't like this cover. I think Blind Melon does a much better job but I do love Megadeth's cover of "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath.

  • fuck yes an amazing band covering another amazing band \m/

  • please listen to the LED ZEPPELIN version of this song because THEY FKING MADE IT. and this is shit.and actually the album cover is appropriate "united abominations" such as songs like this...

  • @1LedZepplin1 I dont think you are a true Zeps Fan ... if you were then you wouldnt care about the cover .. and go posting on Youtube about not listening to any shit !! FAG !

  • @1LedZepplin1 Jimmy Page himself liked this version, don't even pretend to be a zeppelin fan

  • @1LedZepplin1 really? did you know jimmy page actually complimented Dave on this song and how he like the ending especially because Dave improvised many of jimmy solos..

  • @Tommy8330 Thats great.... this remake still sucks.

  • @1LedZepplin1 its not about how good it is dip shit its showing his appreciation for page. 1ledzeppelin1 nice name pouser

  • please listen to the LED ZEPPELIN version of this song because THEY FKING MADE IT. and this is shit.

  • I have physical graffiti on vinyl, after listening to both versions, I can conclude that both bands are probably the two most iconic bands ever (for me) Megadeth for ALL Metal, Led Zep for ALL rock.

    \,,/ KEEP IT METAL \,,/

  • @UKLegendUK this song is on led zeppelin 3 not physical graffiti

  • @corpralkirsch ... I'm sorry dude; I think I might've been listening to PG some time before I wrote the comment; sorry dude :)

  • @UKLegendUK it happens, good album though

  • @UKLegendUK if you heard out on the tiles on phisical graffiti, your on some good drugs., in my life was a track on LZ 3 !!!!

  • @narly151 Read the other comment I made to reply to someone about this; then comment with something new.

  • @UKLegendUK - I will add my note to this video by saying that "Out On the Tiles" is not on "Physical Graffiti." It's on Led Zeppelin III.

  • its not that megadeth sucks, thats just led zeppelin for you megadeth always has an always will be awesome!

  • @XxZero97531xX Led Zep are the Godfathers of pretty much everything rock/metal/blues based, without them the music industry would suck more than it already does...

  • this sucks ass

  • No offense to Megadeth, but I like Toxik's version of this song better.

  • Can anybody hear a little bit of Kashmir at the end? : P

  • @adrianenduro Yeah, and the guitar lick right before that is from a Page solo that I can't place off the top of my head.

  • why does japan ALWAYS has extra stuff only for them?? pisses me of gealousy

  • @Peashant2142 It's because CD's are more expensive there, so they add bonus content to promote the japanese CD instead of imported ones, which are cheaper

  • @Peashant2142 Because albums are fucking expensive in Japan. I don't know why.
