In 1992, Satoko won the grand prix of "Nagasaki Music Festival". After graduation from high school, she went to Los Angeles and received voice training and made her debut from Toshiba-EMI in 1994. In 1995, she won the championship in "5th NHK New Face Songs and Ballads Contest". Further, she won the grand prix of "1st Asian Music Festival" held in Bali, Indonesia by singing "Asian Dream" in 1996. Thus, your comment is right. However, she is originally shy.
