  • Non of those situps would have counted. Shoulders have to touch the floor

  • fag

  • I'm glad I never lost my abilities from swim team as a kid, it's suited me well in many areas as an adult. For us, 100M was a warm-up and a cool-down. We started and ended every practice session (Every morning), with a 100M swim. All-in-all we would swim thousands of meters a day. If you're worried about swimming ability, join a competitive team and/or simply push yourself gradually like you would with any other endurance event. Remember, though, ALWAYS have a buddy around!

  • Your not allowed to do breaststroke once you get to RTC, prep, or buds. they allow it in the DEP so that more applicants will pass the initial pst. Im a SO candidate shipping this may.. also, before you get to BUD/S, your last PST is increased to a 1000yd swim, w/ fins, under 20min, pushups and situps are the same, but you gotta get 10 perfect pullups, and run 4 miles under 31 minutes. form on the calisthenics must be perfect. we had a guy get 12, they counted 9, and put him back to the fleet

  • which is harder training? Navy SEAL trainin or Pj training

  • lol did the breast stroke on my first pst, and that sucked

  • ha ha ha its 4 20 man lol

  • he didn't even go all the way down on those crunches i noticed and doesn't the military require you to wear boots and stuff.

  • not untill u do the running and he stpped wen he did enough push ups and sit ups wen u do the real test they expect u to go untill the time runs out and if u touch ur upper back i think it woud be easier cuz going all the way down would be like taking a super quick break and not going all the way down would make more work for his abs

  • I can tell you if I tried out when I wanted to I would been sent back to the fleet asap!! I've been a building wrecker in Boston (local 1421) for 8 years and I'd have to say that's as good as it gets for any civilian attempting an stamina test! Toss an adze or sledge for hours or break up concrete for 8 hours! Ha! J hated it but learned to love

  • Joustmaster: could myself or anyone else receive that from you?? I'd say you like dick cause I don't need your Hollywood seal (no caps) to tell me shit. The meps building alone can tell me to fuck off as much as your 'bud'. I work for contracts. If I can get that then I would love to kill every buisnessman recruiter.

  • i passed the seal physical test today!

  • congrats dude

  • Maybe if he would have used the combat side stroke he wouldnt have been dead tired after it

  • this video was taken on 420 hahahaha

  • haha

  • yea i failed the swim and sit ups the first time i took the test..but then the second time i took it i passed everything so im all reclassified and just waiting to ship...keep working at it man and try to get elevated scores it will really help you in bud/s...thats the swim and run under 10 mins...75 push ups and 75 sit ups and at least 9 pull ups..and if you do that at great lakes i heard you get some money too

  • They allow you to do the breast stroke or the combat side stroke.

The combat side stroke is a lot easier, then they had us take a 5 min break, then pushups where our chests had to touch a can of dip underneath us, and then the sit-ups, then a 5 min break, then run a mile & a half.

It's not as easy as a lot of people think, the swimming tires you out. I'm building myself up for the next one because I failed the running part by 3 seconds last time.

  • that sucks so bad.. hope you pass next time, im going to try out too

  • how is the running the only thing you failed, that seems like the easiest...

  • The order you do it in.

You have to Swim 500 meters in 11 mins, take a 5 minute break, 42 pushups in 2 minutes, 30 sec. break, 50 situps in 2 mins, 30 sec. break, then 6 pull-ups in no time limit, then 5 min break. Then you have to jog a 1.5 miles in 11 minutes. It's endurance. And it's tough because the swiming wipes you out.

  • did you have to run in boots and pants? ive heard from a few people that you do and then some people say you don't...

  • You do not have to wear boots and pants when you take it before you are in boot camp. I haven't shipped out yet so I can do it in tennis shoes and shorts. But if you take the test after boot camp you must wear boots and pants. It's really not much of a difference.

  • Yes you are supposed to run it in boots and pants. But most spec. war coordinaters don't make you do it

  • omg no its not dont tlak if u dont no fuckin hell

  • oh n no pull ups? haha i no u didnt take it dont lie to people

  • What are you talking about dakingls1? There are pull-ups. And I gotta say that I finally passed, but they said I wouldn't ship out until March, so I said I would change in boot, but they wouldn't let me because I had a mandatory weigh-in. So I figured I have 2 years to get even better. But my instructor was Petty Officer Getka. If you've ever seen the Discovery Channel about the SEALs in BUD/s, he's in there. He's a pretty cool guy once you get to meet him. I'm going shooting with him next week.

  • @S2Outbreak yes no shit read it again i said what no pull ups?? as in sarcasm n a question

  • alright,I have passed my PST many times. First of all you get a 10 min rest between your swim and push ups. When your doing your sit-ups you have to have ur elbows touch the top of the knee and ur shoulder blades have to touch the ground to count. Oh and you should do the side stroke..alot easier for the sunday swimmer. I give your props for trying though..its not for everyone.

  • wtf kind of breast stroke is that!? ha ha no way would that pass, im training to be a seal right now and holy hell that was a rough stroke try a CSS stroke way more efficient and easier

  • haha srry i didnt watch the whole thing, but u did kinna rest a lil in between lol

  • well the ACTUALL test is done RIGHT after a run, push up, pull up, and there might be something else so its ALOT harder than just doing the swim wile ur fresh

  • Also weighted.

  • They require you to do a specific stroke for the swim. Scissor kicks not what ever the hell he was doing.

  • Actually, not true. You may either do sidestroke or breaststroke. I was attempting breaststroke here (not well).

  • That shit was not fucking breaststroke the U.S. NSW community would never accept that for the PST nice try though plus combat Sidestroke is alot Easier on the upper body

and no Im not a U.S. Navy SEAL or SWCC

and yes I am just a high schooler but im on the swim team and track team and I use the Navy PST to train every day

  • If you want to do the test with an actual instructor I can set that up.:)

  • I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that pool is 25 yards long.

  • @jameskramer77 good luck getting a seal contract if you get in the pool and do a breast stroke while every other seal candidate does a side stroke. Probably not going to happen. Also, your form on your sit ups was incorrect. Your elbows have to be at a 90 degree angle from your body the entire time and the top of your shoulders must touch the ground. Nice try.

  • I would never pass the real test (but definitely respect the people who attempt it). To win a free dinner from my buddies, I was more than willing to try their watered down version.

  • Also, you don't take the test while hanging out with friends. Instead you are being yelled and screamed at that you will fail, because you probably will.

  • umm did anyone see the date it is 4/20 they are probably stoned

  • My last practice pst i got 8:34 swim/using combat stroke. 78 push ups, 96 sit ups, 13 pull ups and run in 8:16

  • LMFAO wow, that is pretty pathetic breast stroke with ur head above the water...wow. I bet he barely made the minimums if even since they cut out on all the calisthenics. Minimums on the seal pst equals 5% chance of bud/s gradutation

  • HAHA, this guy would never pass the PST which is the test you take for Navy specwar. You should be using the combat sidestroke anyways. Plus your shoulder blades didnt touch on the sit-ups. You would be torn apart if you actually took the test. SEALs get 9:30 swims, 90 puch-ups, 100 sit=ups, 15 pull-ups, and run in under 10minutes.

  • A Lap is there and back. If you are doing the basic qualifications for passing, like any military test, you will not pass if you only make the minimums.

  • I could only upload the first 5 minutes of the video for some reason. I'm working on getting the whole thing on there.

  • what the hell??? it stops after like two pull ups... wtf?
