  • I forgot how much I loved to watch the label spin around and around on the turntable. Thanks for playing my fav version which seems to have disapeared off U-Tube.

  • Wow! The sound is spectacular!

  • This version can not be found on a CD, Great song, and the best version too!

  • @44zombie44

it was on the releashed album.

Until a few months ago, somewhere on youtube this song appeared with a cartoon, I loved it... Anyone know where we can find it?

  • That was not Reel Around The Fountain, it was This Night Has Opened My Eyes, i do believe.

  • Reel around the fountain.

  • Fail

  • how better does vinyl sound than cd!!!

  • paborito ko ining kanta, maoragon!!!

  • there is somthing about a record that make the song even better

  • pretty cool...can you post the peel session version?

  • joy. much joy in the house of David. I thought I was the only one with the Peel session memories.

  • one of my favorite albums

  • possibly the one smiths song that makes me want to cry. it's such a great song, and who else could've done such a song other than the Smiths? they were the first GOOD band i ever heard (i was into Korn, Limp Bizkit, Nirvana, etc then) and they really opened my view on what good music really was/is. and for that i will forever be grateful

  • @motellife i hope you kept nirvana. i know there's hype, but kurt coain and stephen patrick morrissey spoke to the same truth--it's tough to be highly sensitive and highly intelligent. two very different expressions, but that's window dressing comparatively.

  • Awesome song, awesome band.. Thank you for doing this dude :)

  • I have that LP! Except mine is yellow vinyl. Geekdom. :D

  • brilliant, fucking perfect. sounds exactly like it should, all those years ago. brilliant.

  • I dreamt about you last night, and I fell out of bed twice. You can pin and mount me like a butterfly. But "Take me to the haven of your bed", was something that you never said. Two lumps please; you're the bee's knees, but so am I.

  • So nostalgic...

  • dude you're great...minimal but genial video...I nearly started to cry...

  • How nice to hear this again after all these years. Though I did prefer the Hatful Of Hollow version of reel around the fountain waaayyyy more than this, you could hear the bass for a start xD

  • funny

  • Wow! Vinyl! How classic and beautiful to see!

"I dreamt about you last night, and I fell out of bed twice, you can pin and mount me like a butterfly, but take me to the haven of your bed, was something that you never said..." poetry, thank you for this!!!

  • beautiful! thank you!

  • gracias...me quebro completo...gracias...

  • Cool !

And very good idea, our lovely turntable :-)

  • Sounds even better on vinyl. Gorgeous.

  • no me canso de escucharla...

  • Hey, nate47, you realise you look like a young Johnny Marr?

  • nice one

  • For a min there it looked like a big pair of knockers. lol

  • Hermosa cancion!!!!!

  • this was pretty cool...glad to see some people have lp's

  • who would have ever known vinyl was so sexy...that was almost pornographic.

  • i would have thought this a little silly, but it was so lovely. thank you.

  • the smiths the way it was meant to be heard. thanks.

  • thank you.

  • I love this song

this is beyoooutiful, is hard to explain

  • its good to hear the old songs from the late 80's.its truly a nostalgic memorabilia to cherish the Salad days were we feel that being young was a luxury those days..

  • I adore this song and I LOVE the smiths...AND morrissey.
