what! there is no such thing as a good cymbal to drum ratio! Have as many or as few drums and cymbals as you like. I personally find that I rarely need more than two toms.

Rather than playing the herta between your rack and floor tom every fourth measure during the chorus, it would probably be easier to do a John Bonham style triplet between the rack and floor time, and bass. It would also help out more if you could do a quick double after said triplet. (Rktom,Fltom,quick double)
