My hockey coach thought 35 years ago the ice was getting too small, but yeah, I'm the only person in the world who thinks the NHL is broken. I used to enjoy watching guys beat the hell out of each other but for me it wasn't a lifelong attraction. I like hockey much more than boxing but you don't see much hockey anymore as the rinks are too small.

That puts the NHL behind motocross, snowboarding, poker, and almost every sport or game you can think of. Once you leave Canada hockey is dead and few people live in Canada. @wsbill14224 I live in Minnesota and hockey is alive and well. we have lot's of leagues from Pee Wee to Elder Leagues. We have plenty of outdoor rinks. Indoor rinks get used plenty. My cousin that lives in Colorado says they have the biggest Outdoor Rink in the world with plenty of others. I think Hockey is just fine outside of Canada.

This was back in the day.. the Blues and Blackhawks HATED each other.  I remember another game that year, they played the theme from 'Phantom of the Opera' during another line brawl.
