Its not the gunners fault that he's not on target, when you're shooting at these ranges 1/10 of a degree can mean a miss by 100 feet, and when a person is trying to man handle a gun that weighs hundreds of pounds and a gun that does not fire very rapidly then being on target becomes VERY difficult. These things should be computer controlled in my opinion.

That's the closest reference i can give to you that you would understand. Bullets arent magical.

I fired 6 shots, checked the group ( i think it was more than 200... IDK for sure...) discovered it was very tight, and then got an ice pack for my wrists.

What a waste of shells. They should make a miniature drone that is shot from a gun. It would fly at the speed of a bullet, then when a certain distance was reached close to the target it would use a gas jet to reverse the forward motion or a parachute or something to slow down, then explode on command. They should make one that could be shot at high speed then hover for surveillance. Now that would be more high tech than wasting shells.

@MrMasterMinecraftMan I do not believe for a second that you work in the Air Force. (1)Even mere common sense tells us that there is no logical reason for 25mm rounds to cost so much. Not materials nor manufacture process. (2) 25mm rounds are no where near similar to the highly specialized 30mm rounds fire by the Avenger. Sorry MinecraftMan, but you're spouting bullshit.

@apache249 Actually, there is little technical difference between the 25x137 round of the Bushmaster and the 30x173 round of the GAU-8 other than the size of the round. The Bushmaster can in fact fire far DU APFSDS-T rounds that are quite a bit more sophisticated than the DU API rounds of the GAU-8.

What a waste of shells. They should make a miniature drone that is shot from a gun. It would fly at the speed of a bullet, then when a certain distance was reached close to the target it would use a gas jet to reverse the forward motion or a parachute or something to slow down, then explode on command. They should make one that could be shot at high speed then hover for surveillance. Now that would be more high tech than wasting shells.

it would have been more cost effective to just drop that little inflateable and ride out there to chuck a grenade and come back. I know that shit has to be hard to shoot with just you eyesight off of a moving ship but DAMN! it took them like 100 rounds and looks like they just his around it. oh well that had to be fun for that guy I loved shooting the 25mm from my Brad, the sound of the round going off and hearing the mechanics of the system working is such a unique sound that sticks with you
