  • wwhhaaaaaaattt ddoooooeeessss aaaaa yyyeeeeellloooooowww lliiiiiggghhhttt mmeeeeaaaann?

  • oh my god this scene still makes me laugh even after all these years

  • Few people can make you smile just by entering the scene. Lloyd as Rev. Jim is one of those. Always made me laugh and still does. That's a pretty good gift to give someone.

  • Very funny, Taxi's Reverend Jim really made me laugh, which isn't always easy for me!!

Christopher Lloyd = best character actor ever.

  • Great Scott!

  • hahhahhahaha my mom told me to look this up, glad i did!

    hilarious :)

  • pure comedy gold

  • Never made it to 88 MPH he had to slow down.

  • Happy 73rd Birthday Chris!!!

  • I´m a pharmacist.

  • @FluzaoMarcio That makes you Special.

  • thumbs up if you got here because Ryans impression from Wliia!!!

  • Comedy today seems to be more about one liners and being snide. It was then too, but not exclusively.

  • as funny now as it was then! Thabks for the memories

  • wow that was funny. i lold in real life.

  • jim as a pharmacist????? lmao

  • genius-thanks for video-

  • #24 is way too low!

  • I can't believe this was only #24!

  • @rmar67 Should have been #1!

  • Slow down!!

  • well the show starts 1978 and it ends 1983

  • he never changed

  • This was only #24?!?! Top 10 easily.

  • Kramer is a 90s version of this character.

  • @laiosto Are you kidding? Kramer is a Sober Irishman compared to Jim Ignatowski

  • This program should have been counted as the best instead of Seinfeld.

  • Great Scott.

  • As far as I am concerned, Christopher Lloyd is a national treasure. His house burned down a while back. I felt so sad for him. I hope he and his family have found home again.

    Thank you Mr. Lloyd.

  • he looks so diffrent with his signature white hair, and lab coat!

  • I thought doc was old...

  • @mikeplayer84 No he's forever young :D

  • The first time I saw this I laughed so hard I thought I was going to die.

WHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTT DDDDDOOOOOOEEEEEEEESSSSSS AAAAAAA YYYYYEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWWW LLLLLLLLLIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTT MMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN

  • I think i was about 10 when i was watching this show it was good show.

  • It sucks that Chris didn't start acting earlier. His first role was Taber in "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" when he was already 37 and he was great.

  • @ScienceOfStupidity he was like Bob in Batman. Didn't do much, but he left an impression.

  • @ScienceOfStupidity really? he was born in 1938, he did that movie in 1975, u do da math.

  • The frequency in the backround makes my head screech with pain, right in the center where my pineal gland is, this is poison.

  • Christopher Lloyd on Taxi is like Kramer before Kramer was Kramer...

  • @benjovi356 I agree. That was a common comparison back when "Seinfeld" first started.

  • Memories from the past...TV comedy Taxi

  • this is so so funny!

  • what kind of job could you get him??? Driving a Delorean =D.

  • Kramer version 1!

  • The yellow light means the flux capacitor is fluxing.

    Obviously.

  • What does a a yellow light mean?

    Slow down.

whhhhaaaaaaatttttttt dddddddooooooeeeeeesssss aaaaaaa yyyyyyyeeeeeelllloooowww llllliiiiiggggghhhhttt mmmeeeaan?

    Slow down.

    *repeats again*

    Slow down.

    *repeats again*

    SLOW!

    *Repeats again.

  • He doesn't know how to slow down because he only goes 88mph and above

  • Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat... doooooooooooooes...... yellooooooooooe liiiiiiiiight... meeeean?

  • I know this guy has made a living by playing the same character. Check Back to the Future and One Flew over the Cuckoos nest, but he is excellent and warmly welcomed

  • check out Tony Danza.......He's dying in the background!

  • slow down... EHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHEEHHEHEHHE

  • @korujaratm123 what....does...a...yellow...light...mean

  • This has me in tears everytime!

  • I want TAXI TO COME TO TVLAND!!! This is my favorite, favorite, favorite episode!!! I so love this show!

  • You know what's so funny about Christopher Lloyd? In Back to the future, when he was in 1955, he was depicted as an adult, and the rest of the cast were supposed to be 17 year old people. The funny thing here? He was 17 in 1955 because Lloyd was born in 1938. HA!

  • lmao I'll never forget this question when I'm gonna go take my licence.

  • I met him this past weekend! He rocks!

  • ITS DOC@!!!

    HES STILL ALIVE!

  • IT'S THE DOC

  • AND THE JUDGE

  • he took a lot of chemistry

  • i'll always see Chrisopher Lloyd as a scientist lmao :P

  • i saw this years ago and its still freaking funny

  • Where we're going we dont need roads...

  • Kramer Time Paradox?

    Seriously xD

  • Back To The Future~

  • "what does the yellow light mean??? " lmao

  • Comment removed

  • Which one of the guys here played in Grease?

  • Comment removed

  • The one saying "slow down" was in Grease.

  • It was Jeff Conway

  • we never got to watch much of this show in England. whats the best ep?

btw chris lloyd is the best but i like the immigrant chap as well

  • In fact we had the entire series in the UK on BBC during the 80s.

Maybe you're too young to remember it but it was there!

  • 1.21 Gigawatts!!

  • christopher lloyd rocks! he is so hilarious!

  • tony danza's laughing when Christopher Lloyd pulls his "slow down" stunt.

  • Oh crap, theres a thunderstorm warning!!

  • Christopher Lloyd STOLE the show. Nobody could keep up with him.

  • HAHAHAHA, the tears roll out my eyes from laughing.

And can you imagine that cristopher lloyd is already 71 years old?

I feel like the 80's are just over a few years ago, but the reality tels me otherwise. Man i'm getting old, and i don't like that at all, and i don't like the present, because the eighties were such a better time to live in, because things weren''t as complicated as in these horrible present days.

  • i remember this scene and i aint seen the show in atleast 10 years

  • I remember watching Taxi and I thought Christopher Lloyd was usually in the funniest moments including this. :)

  • I also thought he'd make a good Dr. Wily. He just needs the crazy hair, a pharmacist coat, and a mustach

  • christopher lloyd and andy kaufman really made this show unique, even though there was a depressingly serious current that ran through the show, it was still one of the best on television.

  • You're right - that depressingly serious current was called life. :-) At the end of the day these cabbies were struggling. Jim was hilarious, but there were also a couple episodes that made you realize how sad his condition was underneath it all, too.

The show could literally make you cry sometimes, or at least get choked up.... and yet it NEVER went overboard. It never went into total melodrama. Then in the exact same scene 30 seconds later, they'd have you in hysterics again.

  • I thought this scene was great, but certainly not the funniest from the show. With that said, a lot of the best scenes were becuase of Christoper Lloyd

  • My Dad loved this show...i remember him laughin his tits off...i was a kid in bed but,can remember the laughter from downstairs...God bless him,...he's not dead just god bless him...ELi in Liverpool,England

  • omg this is hillarius XD

  • What does a yellow light mean?

One of the funniest tv clips of all time. Fast forward to 1 min and 8 sec

  • Wonder how much CR, Lloyd adlibed!!

  • What kind of skills? That's the man who invented time travel!

  • @Mechanodroid hahaha!

  • @Mechanodroid And the Dip, and the upside down lunchbox, and . . . and . . . and . . . muffinz?

  • @Mechanodroid Well Taxi was made in 1978 and he came into it in 1979 so he hadnt yet invented time travel that didnt happen till 1985, but im sure working as a taxi driver helped him invent time travel

  • @Brodie73m He left in 1983 when the show was pulled...So in just 2 short years he's invented the Flux Capasitor. Quite good I think. No seriously, he's a great actor. Still working at 72! Doesn't hardly look any different these days to when in Taxi!

  • @Mechanodroid Discovered, not invented.

  • some of these sucked , but a loy of them were realy funny , like the one where jim went back to visit his dad and said your fat, your bald to

  • You should learn to write. Ha!! You don't make any sense. Way to go.

  • I'm sure you get what he means. People always go for the insults...

  • THE single funniest moment Iv'e ever seen on any comedy show!

  • Jeff Conway was irritating how he always make his big hair shake.

He does it on purpose but it wasnt part of the script, he was just proud of that 70's hair

  • Close friend of Jeff's huh? Cool. How's he doin'?

  • Hes doin pretty good. Still shakin that hair though.

He is working part time at the Piggly Wiggly.

  • can someone add the skit when jim plays the panio at the houe and plays chop sticks and then plays like a concert panio player

  • You can view the entire episode on You Tube. Just search for "Taxi: Elegant Iggy 1/3" Also 2/3 and 3/3 for the second and third parts.

  • ABC canceled "Taxi" to put Leslie Nielsen and "Police Squad" on the air. NBC picked up "Taxi," but they canceled it after Judd Hirsch won an Emmy the next year. ABC canceled the forerunner to "the Naked Gun" as well in less than a season.

  • look at the girl in the background. she's like, "what the hell is wrong with this idiot?"

  • taxi should have ran for ten year's, it was great.

  • Look at Tony Danza laughing his head off. lol.

  • Great Scott! It's the Doc!

  • Jeff Conaway became Jim Ignatowski in real life.

  • Great scene!

I read that while filming this, Marilu Henner kept driving a pencil into her hand to keep from bursting out laughing

  • Greatest show and cast

  • i love these old shows. I wish i could have been alive to see them when they were new. unfortunately i was born in the 90s, sucks.

  • 90`s shows were great too

    ever heard of seinfeld

  • christopher lloyd is awesome. best actor ever.

  • He kind of reminds me of a strung-out Kramer.

  • I have this season on DVD. This stuff is timeless. I wish that we still had shows like this on TV nowadays. (I mean new ones like this, not old repeats of classics.)

  • What a great episode!! Taxi was the best!

  • I love this show

  • they don't make comedy like this anymore, shame. the best comedy show ever. I love christopher loyd lol

  • There is a DVD box set, but it only has three seasons, and I distinctly remember episodes where Latka and Simka were getting married, and those episodes are not in the first three seasons, what gives?

My favorite comedy and favorite music, hands down. This was the golden moment of television.

  • Sadly, there is TWO seasons that hasn't been released on DVD yet. As we know that the last season on DVD was released in 2005, and it's now 2009. :(

It sucks, we need Season 4 and 5 out NOW!!!!

  • possibly the best comedy show ever...

  • I'm dying here!

  • One of Lloyd's funniest moments as "Ignatowski" -

he's standing next to that table where they play cards, and he says something like, "He may have (I forget the dialogue), but there's one thing he'll never have. He'll never have THIS."

Then he bites into a cookie.

    lmao....

  • This whole series was absolutely classic. They played it on Nick At Nite in the early/mid '90s when I was a teen. I loved the show so much I began taping the show every week and made my own little homemade collection before the DVDs came out. ;-)

  • they just don't make comedy like this anymore. This is hilarious

  • Happy Birthday Christopher Lloyd 70 today!

  • Brilliant - I'm from the UK and this was an absolute cult classic there in the early 80s.....

  • just the very best!!!!!!!!!

  • Laughed so hard I cried. Even with pros, I'll bet it took a few takes to keep everyone composed.

  • Could'nt Stop Laughing, A Classic.

  • is there a dvd box available of TAXI ?

i guess i'm too young to have seen this on tv , but damn , i wanna see it all now !

  • yes, i think the whole series is out on DVD now, my uncle owns seasons 2 and 3 ^^

    beautiful quality too

  • I have Season 1, but its quite hard to find, took me a few months to find it. Are you in America or the UK, because in the UK I found it in HMV.

  • not america or uk , i'm in Belgium ..

maybe even harder to find it here then :(

  • Boringly American? Yeah, I guess Americans are pretty boring, they definately havn't contributed much to Entertainment in the last 100 years. idiot.

  • The only reason it is boring to you is because you don't have the wit and intelligence to understand what is going on.

  • Man I just wish you had the intelligents to understand my comment, i'm defending the video, it's in response to the person who said it's boring.

  • well you know all of their names and personalities, so evidently you watched the show a good amount of times....?

  • Lmao this show was crazy.

  • I remember this when it first showed.I have never laughed so hard and still do when i see it. showing this to my kids was a total honor for me.

  • lmao!!!!!!!!!at taxi though

  • malcom in the middle. cant hold a handle near this show

  • these were the days. this tv. this has hot to be the finniest moment ever

  • this had to be the best one out of the series.I can still remember my dad and uncle laughing until they cried

  • is he still alive...i really like him...when i watched the movie "back to the future"..it really makes me laugh!..a science fiction!

    please answers on my page!

    thanks!

  • yea he is still alive...

sorry i didnt answer on ur page lolz

  • I wish they showed the part before the test where he had to fill out his personal information. For "Eyes" he put "2". Also, it asked if he's ever experienced blackouts, Jim replied "Doesn't everybody?" Great Stuff!

  • Another episode that was super funny was when Alex fell off the wagon and started gambling. he called the garage and tried to get Jim to get cash out of his locker. The scene is 2nd in humor only to the "what does a yellow light mean" scene.

  • I remember I was in the Air Force when I first saw this. Me and my roommate watched Taxi every night. When we saw the episode with Jim taking his driver's test, (what does a yellow light mean?) we were both on the floor ...literally holding our stomachs. One of those laughs where you want to stop because your stomach is hurting from laughing SO hard!!!

  • Hilarious!

  • Funniest scene in TV history!!!!

  • "Oh, I've taken A LOT of chemistry!" LOL

  • This driving test scene and the Turkey Drop on WKRP in Cincinnati are two of thes best comedy bits in TV ....ever.

  • "I thought they would fly!" LMAO!

  • how long ago was that?

  • I don't know when this episode was released, but Taxi began on television in 1978.

  • It's from the second season. So if TAXI started in 1978 then this had to be 1979-1980. And headbanger, Lloyd looked young because he WAS young--this was about thirty years ago.

  • Chris L
