He also thanked Jospeh Hooker the botanist & Charles Lyell the geologist who argued that the earth was millions of years old and that the coast line had been shaped by million years of the waves crashing onto the shore. I am a Christian and I believe evolution is a fact while I also believe in the Bible. I don't see the Bible to contradict Science and vice verca; I interrupt Genesis allegorically as revealing the truths about creation rather than facts about it. While I do believe evolution explains how basically everything came about, it doesn't explain morals, ethics and human spirituality. I ADORE audiobooks. I've loved being read to my entire life, and Dawkins has the PERFECT voice and accent for making science understandable and fun to listen to.
