this may sound like a stupid question but my moniter is alot wider than it is tall and that means i dont see the bottom of the window of effects lab and it is extreemly frustrating :/ i also dont have the maximize, minimize and close buttons at the top of the window... do you know how i can fix this??

In your tutorial on how to make a lightsaber, did you use EffectsLab Pro? Is that a separate software or do you need something else to power it like iMovies?

hey yeah it happens on mine too. you need to pay to get the full version without the watermark. As for the lagging, you would need to upgrade your computer, it's a pretty energy consuming software

i went to the FX Home website. What version did you get. I have sony vagas movie studio 9. So yeah it cant do lightsaber effects. Plus i need some software made just for special effects ya know?

Two things I think really help:

While rotorscoping, turn off the neon glow so it is easier to see the guidance rod.

If the lightsaber is near some sort of object, create a colour glow/reflection on parts of the object using the colour grading feature and a simple feathered mask. This adds realism.

Nice tutorial, but not as in depth and explanitory as Tarn's official fxhome tutorial. 5/5, though.

wrong. if you edit a clip before you put it into fx home, the sound will still be there when you render it. Fx isn't a sound editing device. you have to edit it first using windows movie maker, or iMovie or whatever you use.

if you have windows movie maker you can download the sounds from the site extract them to a folder then import your video then import the sounds and add the sounds to the video and click save to my computer

I got some video off of my camera, and imported it to windows movie maker. I edited it and saved it as a video file. Now when i search for it via effects lab to import, it doesn't show up. In other words. I can't import the video to Effects Lab for some reason. Please Help Me!

i know the file type has to be avi. and when you import video from your camera windows movie maker auto maticaly makes it into a wmp file.

click SHARE, then click QUICKTIME. it'll save as a quicktime movie. Then open fx home effects lab and open the quicktime movie. does this help?

i have a quick question. Every time i make the iMovie file into Quicktime (web) quality, the quality is terrible! i've tried using the Full Quality option, but it takes almost two hours to upload to youtube! which one works 4 you?

web quality sucks. but it could also that your camera's not too good, like mine. mine sucks. but i use the default one, "CD Rom." it works fine. however, regardless of which quility u choose, youtube downgrades it so its gonna look bad anyway.
