@Scrol1 Explaining the flavour of Irn Bru is very difficult, it has an almost spicey taste the way gingerbeer does but without tasting anything like gingerbeer. It has peculiar ingredients that you wouldn't find in many other drinks, citrine, caffeine, ferric nitrate, these give it an energy drink like buzz and a partially metallic taste "Made from girders".

Very hard to explain, but the taste is phenomenal, it's a proven hangover cure (caffeine, etc) and in Scotland it is worshipped, haha :P

The original inhabitants of Scotland, the picts, were almost annihilated by the romans and the bretons for continually invading and killing them. Much much later the Irish scottia tribe came over and settled in the west giving us our current name of Scotland and then for the following few centuries the English tried to dilute our genepool further with prima nocti. Not much pict blood left in us.

I think this is great!! There's a balance of humility and pride when it comes to being Scottish.  Despite being scrawny, pale and shite at football...we love ourselves just as much as anyone else loves their country.
