You really are not required to push every special efx button on the camera when you shoot. The beauty of the Valley of Fire was diminished by the annoying special efx. It's a distraction.

There is no mystry about those rocks. The rocks represent anceint sand dunes of 280 million years ago cemented by red iron oxide and cut by erosion.

This made me cry. I was stationed at Nellis in 98....I used to go hiking there every weekend. I still think it one of the most beautiful places on Earth. If I could choose where I wanted to die, it would be there....

I was so inspired by this part of the world ... wrote a poem while I was there called "Valley Heart". I'm making a poetry video now from Valley of Fire. I've slowly started capturing and will have a rough cut by this weekend. I think you of all people would really appreciate it.
