I drove this and the Carrera GTS in the same day and I was blown away at how well the Spyder drove. It is easily as or more fun to drive than the GTS and probably every 911 besides the RS models (which are realistically made for track use). It's a true sports car for the road.

Am a BIG fan of the Porche Boxter spyder...but I wouldn't buy it even if I was a hundred million 'coz of the roof...manual roof sucks. This turns me out immediately from the car since I've watch that man manually folding off that stupid roof...very POOR, I would have expect a lot from Porsche.

very nice car overall! but i think there is one problem. the manual top! its just not practical for everyday use.. i can imagine people getting soaking wet at a sudden outburst of rain, not only rain, but imagine driving this at night at high speed, or when u just need some privacy in your car.. it just simply is not nice to know that you need to get out of your porsche to put a stupid roof top on! it probably cuts a lot of weight not to have a roof mechanism, but i think its a problem.

Actually this is more of a true sports car than the 911. 2 seats only and engine in the middle. The 911 is a 2+2 and a flawed car to begin with because it's engine is in the wrong place. They should get rid of it and put it's engine in the Boxster/Caymen.
