Help! Can't Sleep!

In Hilo they have these Coqui frogs that make a loud little Ko-quee! noises when they're out being amorous. There can be up to around 8000 of these quarter sizes froggies per acre, and some people are driven mad by the racket. I don't mind it though, its kinda like listening to crickets.

hello graham i use the maximum 33db hearing protection. The ear plugs are wax or vinyl. My partner prefers the wax because its total ear fit. I prefer the vinyl ones since my ear sweats. I tend to use 2 pairs a night. His he has to discard after3 uses. Mine i can wash and reuse. good luck, angel

hey, once every (i think) 17 years, we get cicadas. those damned things are SO ANNOYING and DISGUSTING. theyre EVERYWHERE and LOUD lol its like the frogs except 24/7 for like 4 weeks

hahaha One time on our Schools Senior band tour, we went to Harrietville (?) Up the top of Victoria near Bright and there were soooo many Crickets at the place. You literally had to yell to hear eachother. We stayed there for 2 nights and when we left we didn't even notice they were gone :) about 1 hour after we left someone said "Can you hear that?". Anyway, you will get used to it! We get hoons just outside our house sometimes and that makes it hard to sleep :\

i can sleep with or with out sound. but if you call my name 1 time. i will get up. i gust part of my brain don't shut off. it is a good thing for me. i all way know what going on in the house, even if i was sleeping. so if my house fire on fire. i know. so ya, my sleeping is weird, but it work for me :)

I could not sleep the other night either but not because of noise. Frankly I like it when there is sound around me. I think I would have a hard time sleeping in complete silence though I do recall doing it nightly in the past.

Either the tv or the radio has to be on. Funny thing is I have noticed sometimes what I dream about is influenced by what I hear. Maybe you should try to sleep with the frog noise and see what you dream about. :p

two words.........Earplugs and Dog

The earlplugs will eliminate the loud Frog chirping but you may not hear the alarm clock, thats where the Dog comes in, you feed it as soon as you wake up, therefore every day at the same time the dog will want its food and will WAKE YOU UP so you never oversleep.

How's this for crazy, the rabbits have been eating my flower garden during the night. I saw one and I ran out yelling and waving my arms wildly telling it to fuck off. Another time when I was drunk I pee'd right near the boundary of our garden (which doesn't have a fence yet so its really my fault the rabbits are eating everything) and yelled out "there, now I've marked my territory! it's my garden, fuck off!" LOL I love the rabbits and possums and other assorted animals we share the land with..

I live up North Graham, the wet season is nearing a end and the frogs are going wild trying to get one last love session in before it cools down to much. It's lovely in the early evening but once it comes bedtime there constant crys for a partner drives me crazy too. ;) Almost enough for me to buy a cat .... Almost. ;)
