  • Maravilhosa interpretação !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • woah shes like 15 now o:

  • dammmmm this girl is only 10?????? im 12, and even i cant play this piece!! good job kid!! keep it up!! i gotta give you props for that!! lol

  • What a talented kid! I love to watch her play with so much emotions. She's really 'inside' the music. Such a gift, she needs the chance to rise and shine!

  • amazing play

  • It's so wonderful to see young people dedicating their lives to such music. She is a talented performer now and I expect her to have a great future.

  • way too fast

  • northercaralinins, it is for her because i heard errors, but every1 plays it this tempo. but you are correct it is too fast because the tempo is andantino, not presto. but her temp is the norm. i prefer it much slower, however, and i assume you do also.

  • @northerncaralinins there are many versions of this song. no ways saying whther arabesque no.1 is suposed to be played too fast or too slow. each pianist has their own style making each music they play diffrerent

  • she's awersome. and this music it's so amazing !! Bravo.

  • Very nice play. Only it was rushed too much therefore killed some feel.

  • very professional performance, especially for a ten-year-old. Most adults can't play this song as good as you

  • What a amazing young lady and I so love Debussy!!!

  • I'd love to hear a newer version of this from Dominique. I think my only complaint would be that in the beginning she should try to keep the triplets a little more even, but that's really up to the pianist's interpretation anyway. And like others said, let the melody breathe :) But again, some might already find it breathing. It's mainly an interpretation thing that I think might change over time anyway. I wonder how she plays this piece now. :D I'm just a huge Debussy fan.

  • She plays it like I do. I don't think it's too fast. Just about perfect!!!

  • Amazing technique!! But as said by another commenter, let the melody breathe :) You would probably own at Bach :)

  • I love it...you are an angel sent from heaven!

  • dont get carried away lolz

  • Watch Petruska by Stravinski Davide Cabassi, piano.......probably most difficult clasical song¡

  • wow and only 10!

    Great Job

  • I love this song, and I learn it now, but it´s so hard...and this video is amazing :)!

  • So beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • excellent technic!

  • As a fellow pianist, I'd like to offer you some constructive criticism, because it is a crucial ingredient for every musician to grow. Slow down the tempo and let the melody breathe! Your technique is excellent, however the pathos of the piece is cut short because you are rushing through it.

  • As another musician, i agree with this idea. maybe a little more feeling and drama may help. but, totally excellent

  • Comment removed

  • This is way better than her version of clair de lune, she rushed through that, on this one she's also a little speedy but it fits

  • Very Good! I know you since I played against you in the Goodlin Festival (or was it CYAC?), lol.

  • Awesome job!

luv the emotion! ^^ such a cute kid! and this is not exactly the easiest piece to play!

  • ★★★★★

  • outstanding!!

  • is she korean??

  • Very good, Dominique!

    Excellent!

  • This music flows

  • exactly!

    she plays wonderfully musically

she did make a few mistakes but she has tiny hands so

    it is a disadvantage.

i'd love to see more recent videos

  • There are a lot of videos of very young children playing pieces adults play on the internet.

But they don't all play musically, as Dominque and Valerie do!

It was wonderful to find this treasure trove last night, while searching for The Dance of the Blessed Spirits

  • Beautiful!!!

  • such amazing technique and relaxed wrists for a young girl! way to go!

  • Debussy's Deux Arabesque is my favorite piece!

As a 10 year old pianist (2 years ago) you are

a fabulous talent, Dominique. Would like to hear your piano music brought up to date.

    meravellos...

  • she is fantastic to me...

    Peace

    Massy

  • those arm movements are probably not taught intentionally. she probably picked them up as a matter of imitation. you can't argue with the resulting expressiveness though (i mean in the music, not the arms). nothing wrong with moving arms like that. to me it shows that her body is relaxed (as opposed to tense) which is necessary for performance.
