Actually the process with Amazon isn't difficult at all. As for time, it only took me a couple hours to have three novels put on Kindle without error. Plus, an author would have to sell 100 books to break even. As for changing oil, yes I do. Taxes, yes. People tend to try to make things appear harder than they are to make a buck. Smashwords also has a similar process, and it, too, is very easy to do. Like cooking . . . follow the directions and it works just fine.
@Deimoshunter You're right, people with the know-how can complete anything relatively quickly. It's the "know-how" part that is important. The majority of small businesses are based upon the concept of company A delivering a product or service to Customer B for a price. Customers who don't need that particular product or service simply don't buy it. But just because our Amazon service is not necessary for you doesn't mean it's not very helpful to many, many authors.
@Deimoshunter Thanks D. I love your take on the, "Amazon Kindle Process!" I am giving it some very tenacious yet noble opinionated looking around and prodding as well as possible... Again, thanks friend, awesome utilities, I've conisdered it for a long while now, do they offer any editing, and what is your advice on this and also??? What facets do they accept more than say, novels of creative fiction or non fiction, essays of national ranked persuasive, Scientific work, Pleistocene Lakes.
@R74noble You're right, D sounds like a very capable book marketer and may not need our Amazon services. For others, our services are a well-received convenience. You can browse all our marketing services on our website at outskirtspress - dot - com on the Marketing Tab. You don't even need to publish your book with Outskirts Press, although you'll save up to 50% on our a la carte services if you do. We look forward to helping you.
@Deimoshunter You're right, you can do all these things for free, if you know how to do it properly and want to make the time investment. Most of our authors have better things to do (like write), so they prefer the convenience of having us perform these marketing tasks on their behalf. Do you change your own oil in your car? Do you do your own taxes? Did you build your own house? Self-publishing firms provide a service based upon know-how. It's not that radical of a concept.
CHECK out Treasure Tester!!!!!! it's such an efficient app. only for Android market. it tells you how much you make in profit from selling items on Amazon. it calculates ALL the expenses!! :D
