To stop porn addiction, their partners should turn them in to law enforcement. A large percentage of porn involves abused and exploited children. They are perverts and criminals. You have a moral obligation to the children affected to turn over what you know, your ISP address, and hard drives. We may make a dent in the problem once partners stand up for the children exploited by these men (and women), and the criminals start paying real consequences for their "addiction."

Pornography is a sex stimuli for most people. We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. It's the way how a person approaches it. If you approach porno with excitement then you will get excited. The only way you can get rid of that habit is you expand your mind with new thoughts like warm water filling a cold glass of water will make the glass be warm. Approach it differently and you will feel differently. Open minded is the key.

it's impossible to be free of sex, you can only be free from the negative type of sex or masturbation. if you don't succeed in discovering your own positive sexuality, that is somehow connected with your values and self-esteem, you can't escape from the negative one. There's no cure for sex, it's like curing your desire to eat. You can only purify / heal it, and make it humanly divine.

I am a woman, and can say that i have had in the past an addiction to porn, but a lifelong addiction to sexual immorality. It is a struggle and I'm married. It's not always about disrespect, it IS HARD. I am in No way making excuse, i hate porn with a passion and immorality, but i can understand the struggle. It is flat out WRONG, and can be a long struggle, but self control and your love for your spouse and Yeshua(jesus) is the key to getting over it.

They are raised up within moral boundaries that make pornography even more desirable. I've realized that now I think porn is normal for all people but it's NOT. Watching porn is NOT normal. When you stop, you will feel weird and have anger problems. But the end result is worth it. Just think, God is with you everywhere you go.

Recently it dawned upon me that I was using porn way to much in the early hours as stress release for all kind of issues, especially dealing with loneliness. Being gay doesn't make for an easy solution as well. Having no-one to open up to, or just a loved one who respects you is mind-nagging. Sometimes the person may wish to believe that they can be totally autonomous and that they don't need anyone for anything, including a partner for sex. They are too scared to rely on others for anything. I saw that in my now ex husband who suddenly had his eyes opened to the fact that he DID need me, but it was too late. He had taught me through 14 years of deception, that I could not trust him ever again.
I have a friend with that condition. he has a pathological fear of relying on, or being relied on by other people. For him, pornography is teflon sex.

There should be law restrictions about not showing porn related content in advertisements on the streets and maybe on the internet (not necessarily in the TV, because I can turn my TV off anytime). The other thing is that not everyone is developing addiction after watching porn.
There is also the case of young people, who really shouldn't watch it for their own sake (wrong sexual imprinting).

I'm not advocating that what he is doing is right or even ok, just offering insight. I look at porn, likely more than I should but I don't think it would interest me that much if I had a girlfriend/wife. Men are visually driven creatures and generally have an intense sex drive(I know you know but I said anyways)and those two combined means porn offers that tempting visual stimulus.
Women, being more emotionally driven likely rely less upon strong visual stimuli when 'taking care of oneself'. My opinion of course but when I think about it intellectually, lusting after a woman generally means thinking of her as an object, taking not into account 'who' she is or what her dreams and goals are. 'Lust' is an emotion/body chemistry state that is looked down upon, seen as dirty, maybe he has, through habit and condtioning;
found porn to be an acceptable outlet for lust as opposed to thinking of you as a simple sex object.Maybe you could let him know that you would rather he lust after you. I haven't dealt with this scenario you are in but maybe try to get him to shift his lust back to you. An idea would be to put on your most attractive outfit and do your best to drive him as crazy as you can before you 'give in'.
You looking your best (I mean that you give him a side of you he doesn't see day to day) combined with highly elevated desire (having him need you yet having to wait), will easily stick out in his mind and will be burnt into his memory, down the road when his hormones come-a-calling hopefully this will be the image/memory that is triggered. One last thought, an understandable example of how a man might feel more comfortable satiating his lust in such a way instead of with his partner.- If I had a girlfriend/wife with whom I exchanged oral favors and she eventually had my child; I can guess that at some point I might feel strange/wrong even desiring that the mother of my child perform such an act upon me, even though I would be fine pleasuring her in such a way. It can be detrimental to your struggle (getting depressed about it and knowing porn offers an upswing in feel good brain chemicals)2. i gave up my porn addiction for music....learning to play many instruments has kept me from spending time watching porn....any time i get the urge to watch porn....i always reach for a guitar instead....the primal instinct will always be there....it's a matter of finding ways to control it....

As I see it, porn is a test by God, made to strengthen us and therefore has a place in God's plan. Its should not be banned. People should realize no one will come to their rescue, they must get out of this by pulling out the the power of God within themselves. Its a good thing in this way.

I have been inundated with porn since I was a child and the time of the "hook" is long since past. I have always known porn was wrong but I have never been able to stop my addiction. I am a believer and although I have made many in-roads, I have not been able to break it completely.
I was like you too. I think people don't realize that God can give us much more satisfaction than sex ever can. God however is found in inner peace as the bible teaches us. Pornography is a sex stimuli for most people. We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. It's the way how a person approaches it. If you approach porno with excitement then you will get excited. The only way you can get rid of that habit is you expand your mind with new thoughts like warm water filling a cold glass of water will make the glass be warm. it's impossible to be free of sex, you can only be free from the negative type of sex or masturbation. if you don't succeed in discovering your own positive sexuality, that is somehow connected with your values and self-esteem, you can't escape from the negative one. There's no cure for sex, it's like curing your desire to eat. You can only purify / heal it, and make it humanly divine.

I am a woman, and can say that i have had in the past an addiction to porn, but a lifelong addiction to sexual immorality. It is a struggle and I'm married. It's not always about disrespect, it IS HARD. I am in No way making excuse, i hate porn with a passion and immorality, but i can understand the struggle. It is flat out WRONG, and can be a long struggle, but self control and your love for your spouse and Yeshua(jesus) is the key to getting over it.

They are raised up within moral boundaries that make pornography even more desirable. I've realized that now I think porn is normal for all people but it's NOT. Watching porn is NOT normal. When you stop, you will feel weird and have anger problems. But the end result is worth it. Just think, God is with you everywhere you go.

It is really heartbreaking to know that while your at work, the man that you loved is in your home, watching profiles and downloading images. I will no longer have to worry about it any longer. It certainly isn't the ONLY way to cope with things, because nonreligious people can always meditate or learn self-help methods. Recently it dawned upon me that I was using porn way to much in the early hours as stress release for all kind of issues, especially dealing with loneliness. Being gay doesn't make for an easy solution as well. Having no-one to open up to, or just a loved one who respects you is mind-nagging. Am still way to young to ditch my life to this, will be looking for new incentives in life, like learning a new language or other skills to keep me busy, and of course finding the right friends in live!!

Sometimes the person may wish to believe that they can be totally autonomous and that they don't need anyone for anything, including a partner for sex. They are too scared to rely on others for anything. I saw that in my now ex husband who suddenly had his eyes opened to the fact that he DID need me, but it was too late. In the case of pornography I agree partly. There should be law restrictions about not showing porn related content in advertisements on the streets and maybe on the internet (not necessarily in the TV, because I can turn my TV off anytime). The other thing is that not everyone is developing addiction after watching porn.
There is also the case of young people, who really shouldn't watch it for their own sake (wrong sexual imprinting).

I look at porn, likely more than I should but I don't think it would interest me that much if I had a girlfriend/wife. Men are visually driven creatures and generally have an intense sex drive(I know you know but I said anyways)and those two combined means porn offers that tempting visual stimulus.

My opinion of course but when I think about it intellectually, lusting after a woman generally means thinking of her as an object, taking not into account 'who' she is or what her dreams and goals are. I haven't dealt with this scenario you are in but maybe try to get him to shift his lust back to you. An idea would be to put on your most attractive outfit and do your best to drive him as crazy as you can before you 'give in'.

One last thought, an understandable example of how a man might feel more comfortable satiating his lust in such a way instead of with his partner.- If I had a girlfriend/wife with whom I exchanged oral favors and she eventually had my child; I can guess that at some point I might feel strange/wrong even desiring that the mother of my child perform such an act upon me, even though I would be fine pleasuring her in such a way. Maybe this can offer insight.

i understand that some people get tired of being rejected so when someone comes to us with loving arms that we never had, it feels good and we want to accept. we now feel complete but it may not be what God wants for us. we need to talk with Him and tell Him our stuggles. somethings that may feel so right and feel so good may not be the best for us. i have a fear of being rejected but whatever im going through God will solve the problem.

i dont think atheist are immoral. really only God is to say who is immoral. i just get upset when they start discrediting Christianity. i understand that Christians have done things horribly but it has also been the other way around. in rome Christians were persecuted and thrown to wild beasts and burned alived by Caliguia. of course i would love it if everyone would serve Jesus Christ but i think Christianity should be a choice and not forced.

porn is a bad thing but it is also a sin. i have been stuggling with porn and sexual thoughts. i am not proud of them at all. i know through Jesus Christ I can change. i just have to guard myself much better. thats why sex should not be played with b/c it is such a personal connective activity. there is nothing to hard for God to solve.

I agree that lust is nothing to be proud of and I am also a Christian. However, I would caution that you should not be too hard on yourself, 1. It can be detrimental to your struggle (getting depressed about it and knowing porn offers an upswing in feel good brain chemicals)2. We were all made with hormones that cause us to be predisposed to sexual desires, I think it is more important what we choose to do with those desires. Best of luck.

i gave up my porn addiction for music....learning to play many instruments has kept me from spending time watching porn....any time i get the urge to watch porn....i always reach for a guitar instead....the primal instinct will always be there....it's a matter of finding ways to control it....

As I see it, porn is a test by God, made to strengthen us and therefore has a place in God's plan. Its should not be banned. People should realize no one will come to their rescue, they must get out of this by pulling out the the power of God within themselves. Its a good thing in this way.

There is no direct link between religion and porn unless you find a site called "porn in the name of the lord". A lot of people dont become atheists because of sientific reasons anymore but thats a diffrent matter.

Very good video except you did not address those people who believe in JESUS and still struggle with porn addiction. I have been inundated with porn since I was a child and the time of the "hook" is long since past. I have always known porn was wrong but I have never been able to stop my addiction. I am a believer and although I have made many in-roads, I have not been able to break it completely.

I was like you too. I think people don't realize that God can give us much more satisfaction than sex ever can. God however is found in inner peace as the bible teaches us. I have found the only way out of addictions is to get addicted to God, and I don't mean just reading the bible. I mean develop an inner relationship with God that satisfies you instead of the outward things you think you need. Bless you in your journey.

webful - you've hit the nail on the head! Having just recently come out of a huge 28year addiction to porn I know from personal experience that ONLY an "addiction" to Jesus/God can overcome this.

Man, I empathize. I'm into soft-porn, the sexual acts do nothing for me because I realize the women suffer for it. I heard Howard Stern would never date a woman who did porn movies. He thought there was something wrong with them. The Struggle, by Steven Gerali, great book regarding the issue, also Pure Desire by Ted Roberts. I still struggle.

People are brainwashed both who subscribe to pornagraphy and or god-like fairy tail. I ofter hear people say thank god for this thank god for that... but why did god put you in a situation in the first place? People tend to forget that man is gods creator and not the other way around. It is you that makes a diffrents in your life tword good and not a fairy-tail book written thousands of years ago.

The Dr in the video was making a lot of sense up until the 20th minute. After that they started talking religiously and then it went downhill.
However the show was real good in the beginning. And there's a lot of truth in what they were discussing.
