I dance along with this video......if there's one video that gets me excited for Disney its this one....this family show how amazing the place is and how much fun and happiness it brings...Wolfs 2012 video?
Catching these videos, and loving them. (I'm on the DIS, too, so it was cool to see it come up.) I hope you all make it out to Disneyland so I can dance with you. 8-)

I first saw this months ago, but I recently saw an actual WDW commercial with awfully similar video effects (mainly the picture-through-picture thing). Did you have anything to do with that? If not, have you seen it? It's hard to say whether it was "inspired" by this one or just a coincidence...

My husband and I don't have any children yet, but we always watch your videos and say 'we want our family to be just like that.' You mention the T2i - was that used for the entire video? I ask because I thought it only had a 12 minute recording limit. Did you find that to be a challenge as you put this together?
@mccollsk I used the T2i extensively. I never ran into a problem with the time limit, but I never tried to record that long. The Electric Parade was 20 minutes long, but I didn't do that with video mode. I did it as a time lapse with individual stills.
I found you through the dis last time and love how you've improved on an awesome idea/execution. Is there a way you can enable play on mobile devices?
@RobsBMWK75 I wish I could! These are the new restrictions that Universal Music Group has put on their music. Kinda frustrating, but I don't know of a workaround.

@wdw1hsm1girl Same here. Get tears in my eyes from watching these. I'm not supposed to do that as a 33 year old grown man with a family but Disney does that for me. Just showed my son this to convince him that Disney next year is for us again!
Hi Brute What an amazing video! I assume you do media as your job or you need to! what camera did you use at 3:25? that is just a really stunning camera! I WANT IT :D I think it would be great for my media studies :) Thanks
@peaceandlove2456 The camera I used is the T2i. It requires manual focusing when in video mode, but the results are very rewarding. After desaturating it (converting it to B&W) I increased the contrast, which is the standard way to get more dramatic B&W.
@Steph27141 Definitely during editing. If you're going to play with color, shoot in a flat color mode so you can adjust it later. The first secret to black and white video is that you want to have plenty of light. If there's no light on their eyes, their eyes will turn zombie black when you crank up the contrast. There's a few clips in the video that I would have loved to have B&W, but it just didn't look good.
Another inspirational video!! I love that you are on the castle every night. If any family should be on the castle it is yours. I love the Mickey ears on thumbman & I LOVE LOVE LOVE "my family is pretty cool". I cry every time I see it! You can tell how much you all love being together.
We are going to Disney end of September 2011. We haven't been on vacation in 6 years and we are really looking forward to spending time together,making memories & creating our video inspired by the Wolfs! Thanks

Ok Brute I have to ask 2 things. #1 the camera that you used..is it waterproof or did you have a case on it? and #2 How the heck did you get in the cage with ZURG? You and I look about the same size and I couldn't squeeze in. Is there a certian spot that is wider?
@fyrmedik51 Ha! That's funny. I bought an Olympus Stylus Tough as my waterproof camera. It works great, and shoots in HD. As for the Zurg cage, I don't recall. We're always in a rush to do these dance clips, because other people want to take quick snapshots. So adrenaline usually takes over while I rush to get in the scene while my wife is screaming, "Hurry! It's recording!"
@alanjwindow Great question! I wanted a fast tempo song with a strong beat that slowed down enough to have some serious moments. I became more and more drawn to the lyrics because they seemed much more real. Life isn't perfect. Life isn't Disneyworld. But you move along and enjoy what you can. I think we did that pretty well.
@alanjwindow If it looks planned, it was planned. I knew ahead of time what I wanted, so I could just say "do the first verse while walking down the street". We'd do it a couple of times and we were done, then on to the attractions. All the clips of us just having fun were shot on the camcorder. I got out the Canon T2i maybe once a day for 20 or 30 minutes for the planned stuff. Obviously, there's some overlap.
By far, for me the best part of the video comes at the 3 minute mark. You and your wife's expressions are awesome! SO funny! I have watched all your vids over and over again.

@walker5family I agree. It's very frustrating. Apparently some music is being allowed on laptops and computers but not mobile devices. (I have an Apple TV too. Hardly a mobile device.) I'm trying to figure out a way to dispute it, but have had no luck.

hah - these videos never get old. besides the monochrome shots are you doing any color correction in FCP? also - how would you compare the HF-G10 to the t2i's video? I know the HF has the cinematic filters (which are great) but I couldn't really tell the difference during the video. Fun family you have!
@lolerwaffles I 3-way color-corrected most of the shots. The HF didn't need as much color-correction, but it was also less flexible when I tried. I did not use any cinematic filters, but I shot 24p on both cameras. Both cameras served their purpose. The G10 was great for run & gun, when I'm joining in the fun. The T2i was just beautiful, but too slow to set up to use spontaneously. I don't want to give up either camera. I carry the G10 in my camera bag instead of a zoom lens.

@walker5family I agree. It's very frustrating. Apparently some music is being allowed on laptops and computers but not mobile devices. (I have an Apple TV too. Hardly a mobile device.) I'm trying to figure out a way to dispute it, but have had no luck.

hah - these videos never get old. besides the monochrome shots are you doing any color correction in FCP? also - how would you compare the HF-G10 to the t2i's video? I know the HF has the cinematic filters (which are great) but I couldn't really tell the difference during the video. Fun family you have!

@lolerwaffles I 3-way color-corrected most of the shots. The HF didn't need as much color-correction, but it was also less flexible when I tried. I did not use any cinematic filters, but I shot 24p on both cameras. Both cameras served their purpose. The G10 was great for run & gun, when I'm joining in the fun. The T2i was just beautiful, but too slow to set up to use spontaneously. I don't want to give up either camera. I carry the G10 in my camera bag instead of a zoom lens.

AWESOME!! Thank you for sharing again! I absolutely LOVE this! We watched the last one you made and I looked at my husband and said " When we have kids, I SO want to be like that family!" How often does your family go to Disney World? I LOVE this video!! It seems like you all have such a fun time on vacation! Compared to your last video, the girls looks so much older! Great idea dancing with other families!! I could watch your videos all day long!

Another great video. Tell your son that we all think your family is cool too. And yet again my son loved the finger with the mickey ears, great touch. I loved the part where you showed 2 years ago and then today. It made me cry. Children grow up so fast and every moment that we get to spend with them should be cherished, and I think that is why I love watching your videos so much, because you guys cherish every moment. Maybe some day we will get to dance with you guys too.
