  • DAYUM NAYTCHA, YOU SCARY!!

  • Okay, who forgot to put their Pikachu back into its PokeBall?

  • ahhh storm season in my sunny state...

  • Oh Florida... In Florida lightning is the most dangerous and the most hit. Where I live [New York] There was just a huge thunderstorm where Lightning hot the ground so hard it was like an Earthquake. Very intense, indeed. That spot won't look so pretty if the Lightning was Cloud-To-Ground Lightning...

  • Wow! That was a heck of a bolt! If I had infinite cash, I'd move to Florida just for the storms :D Although the ones here in North Carolina can get pretty amazing when it's hot and humid, meaning from June to September...

  • u gotta pause it a couple of times

  • Omg, it looked like it was heading for you

  • Florida has the best thundershows, i remember going there one summer and the lightning was spectacular...i hope to go there dureing a stormy summer :)

  • @35ilikepie

lol there are no other kinds of summers here BUT stormy ones

  • if u pause it at 0:01 it looks like its mid Afternoon sorta

  • @partridgefam1970

If you pause at 0:05 it looks like the sun

  • @partridgefam1970 true that

  • that would have made a fine picture!

  • I live in Orlando. Seen that type of lightning A helluva lot of times, but this was amazing. This type is especially dangerous as it can strike many miles away from the actual stor. This gives us the saying a bolt from the blue, for it typically occurs under blue skies- no clouds that much. It's a positive giant.

  • Id 'ov shat myself

  • @joltster109 no its florida, it has the record for most lighning strikes and i live in fl So shut up

  • @AnotherGuyWhoCamps Let's hear it for the Lightning Capital of the World.

  • @LighthawkTenchi heck yea!

  • @AnotherGuyWhoCamps I live in FL too (Dr. Phillips of Orlando). But FL is only 2nd for lightning. Kifuka, DRC has the highest lightning amts, almost twice the amount for FL.

  • Wow, awesome!

  • it is flashy also cheak out vito253's lightning

  • why u think its fake?

    it looks perfectly normal.

  • @TRISt20001 Its only fake because its "COOL" to call every single video "Fake".

  • wanna here the sound of this bitch!

  • fake

  • so yeah i live in florida and during the summer at twilight this is soooooo comon still fun to watch

  • Can you tell us what kind of camcorder you used, whether you had to take video for hours to get this or you just got lucky? its very interesting to see the lightning form such a complex pattern and also light up the sky so nicely. amazing

  • if you stop it a 0:06... DAMN X_X

  • @mewpie123 LOL

  • that was awesome..

  • I luv Electrical storms =)

  • wow

  • Wooo, looks like a very impressive thunderstorm.. Just great that crawler and then the CG strike

  • DAMN.

  • Wish we had lightning like that in the UK. The most excitement I get is from static shocks. Lol.

  • @rachelchunter Try AC sometime :D

  • Colour of lightning imo simply depends on distance witnessed and the amount of dust, haze, etc in the air, Is is all generally the same colour :)

  • It is known as a positive strike not because of colour, but because it originates within the anvil or upper levels of the cell.

Commonly striking into clear cloudless air some distance from the storm, which catches many a complaicent person by surprise :)

  • The Red Lightning I've ssen this on discovery channel they said red lightning or any color Lightning they said that its all air pressure Nitrogen and air molecules combine together and it change to a certain color I dont Know if its true I just heard

  • Wait, nevermind. This is a positive bolt. I just looked it up on wikipedia. Only one question then...

    ...What is Red Lightning?

  • There is no such thing. Large amount of particles in the atmosphere make the bolt that is distant enough look red, pink, orange...

  • Positively charged lightning is pink. This is just an extremely large negative bolt. Still great capture though.

  • very impressive

  • Sweet.

  • These positive flash bolts tend to be much more powerful than regular negative ones, as they take much more energy for the extra distance. I've never seen a shot of one where the bolt actually comes towards the camera. Nice job!

  • great catch! wow!

  • Onweergek sucks :D, but very nice vid.
