Oh my god....this is what Ariana should should have been doing while she was at Joffrey. I miss dancing with her! I love that this is posted on here....she looks amazing!

Yes. The orchestra members are STUDENTS. City Ballet is now using a much better orchestra (starting in 06) This performance was from 2005...

the costumes were beautiful, dancing gorgeous..before you are so critical of the strings PLEASE be more considerate...these are probably students who probably had to come to many rehearsals for nothing more than a thankyou and sat in the pit..playing music over their heads at times--Nutcracker has easy portions but at in some areas it goes into 7th position, challenging for a student. To discount someone who sat through HOURS of rehearsals then PLAYED through 2 hours of the show is unkind.

I just love the Nutcracker "Sigh". We're performing it too!!!!!!! Exept ours is different and it's by the ballet society of colorado springs. But I get to be an angel and a sugar plum :(.
