Michael Voris......the man who blocks people from commenting on his channel because they counter the ill informed points he makes and the wrongs of the Catholic Church that he supports.
One shouldnt be surprised at this censorship tactic as the Vatican have been using it for centuries in a bid to stop their wrongs, evils and false doctrine being exposed.
@MRGV7373 The Priest's role in the process of Reconciliation is "Renewing Spiritual Connection." When a man has sinned greatly against God, his Immorality becomes stronger, which breaks the bond between him and God (1 Cor 6:9-20). Because the Priest has been ordained through Holy Orders to profess and protect the teachings of Jesus Christ, so may he have power on earth to forgive sins through God. (Matthew 9:1-8) God forgives the sinner, but Priest renews the lost connection to God.
@MRGV7373 Quite the contrary, the Catholic Church is the very Church on which Jesus established His teachings, which is what the Catholic Doctrine is comprised of. Also, if Jesus or Peter did not want to teach the disciples, then what was the purpose of Jesus's life, Peter's and the disciples' monumental role with Christ, or even the Day of Pentecost? Yes, God forgives sins. However, you've got the impression that the "Priest" forgives the sins, which is false.
@MRGV7373 You're taking the terms of the Church and of the Bible too literally. Just because the terms "priesthood" or "Papacy" are not physically written in the Bible doesn't mean its Truths are invalid. The same applies with many of the teachings of the Catholic Church. Also, the "false priesthood" in the Gospel of John is referring to the Pharisees and the deception of the Sanhedrin, which was evident to Jesus's teachings in comparison.
The teachings of Christ have been changed over and over to suit the rulers of the time. If you think the Catholic church is unpolluted then think again.
@HughieDixon I would disagree with your statement. First of all, not being Catholic yourself, you probably don't really know what the Catholic Church Teaches. Second, the Catholic Church has been around for 2000+ years and hasn't failed yet, whereas Protestant churches are constantly breaking off to make new churches which are THE true church. How can you have 30,000 TRUE churches? The Catholic Church is the only one that has remained constant for two millennium. Better study up on it.
@TrueMediaNow I was raised a Catholic. Taught that the Bible was the truth. Then one day I woke up. It has NOT remained unchanged and it is YOU who needs to read up.....but read accounts and testimonials from OUTSIDE the bible. Peace.
@HughieDixon It's because of reading accounts and testimonials from outside the Bible that I see the richness of truth in the Catholic Church. That is one of the things that sets the Catholic Church apart from other churches, that it is not just sola scriptura, or scripture alone. But since we both disagree on this, why don't we pray for each other? Both the Bible, the Church, and outside writings say that prayer is our strongest defense against disunity and division.
@MRGV7373 All people are called to holiness. Yes. Jesus called the 12 apostles to be his followers. Does that mean he didn't call everyone else to be holy as well? Does that mean that he made them holier or more important than everyone else? Absolutely not. But he did appoint them for a reason; to guide and encourage the Church.
@shanana000 I think there are two reasons Mr. Voris doesn't often debate protestants.
Number one; because there are over 30,000 different variations in Protestant churches,
And two; because he isn't trying to win an argument - he's trying to bring to the world the truths that the 2,000 year old Catholic Church has passed down from Christ himself.
@shanana000 Not true. Michael understands fully denominational religions. People in denominational religions are taught to abhor Catholicism, the ONLY Church our Lord created !!!....so the fundamental cornerstone as that is... it becomes pointless to "argue" that with Protestants.
