He pushed for a defecit reducing health care plan and trying to save hundreds of thousands of government jobs and make international corporations pay their fair share of taxes and the billionares of America pay their fair share of taxes and bring back 700 billion dollars that was stolen from the treasury.

The last 12 years have been forwarned and it was common knowledge that the kind of bloated spending and tax cuts that were going on was going to bring the economy down and it did. Corporations are getting so many lobbyist deals and not paying their taxes and taking American jobs overseas. You have to pick a side. Those who vote for the corporations or for the people.

However you are right when you say this took a long time to happen. but what I dont understan is the fact that this president has put us in so much debt that our children and and grandchildren will have to take on the burden. it would be one thing if the stimulus was working but unemployment still remains almost 10%.. and the dems state it could be worse?? He was able to stop the Reagan and Bush 1 tax cuts for the rich and give them back to the middle class. Bush gave them back and of course raised the deficit to half a trillion. Now try to get that back in a year and a half with a Republican Senate fillibustering every bill and outsourcing every job in USA.
